It’s so refreshing to see the college scam disintegrating before our eyes. Generations X and Y were lied to by Boomers who should’ve known better, and many industries have suffered deeply because of it. The wheel of the university industrial complex is finally breaking. The 24 years of experience I’ve gained in marketing and brand are worth more than anything I learned in college, and the knowledge I use each day is rarely anything from that period of time. My minors in film, theatre, and political science have been more useful than my digital media major, and working with the brands I’ve been exposed to, as well as building my own, informed much more than any “labs” or half-hearted PowerPoint-droning lectures ever did. Nearly nothing digital from the early-00s is still relevant. I will never forget, while working for Apple on my campus, the day I hosted a keynote broadcast viewing (via sat link - not YouTube!) when iDVD was announced. With one application, the 6hr senior credit for DVD authoring we all would have to eventually put hours and hours of work into was changed to a point and click process of 30min. That was the day I knew for sure the performative nature of the university degree on many fields (like mine) was dubious. Plenty of disciplines need college: doctors, lawyers, other sciences, mathematics and engineering… but not all. And it is high time we understood that as a culture.

We focus on finding innovative solutions to address the unique challenges faced by our charter school partners. Our collaboration with Elevate Collegiate exemplifies this commitment. Faced with the need for additional classrooms, we embarked on a thorough exploration of options alongside Elevate's dedicated team. Together, we identified the opportunity to repurpose previously unused attic space into a functional mezzanine, effectively optimizing available resources and space. Recognizing the importance of accessibility, we sought a solution that would ensure inclusivity for all students. The decision to implement a lift, rather than a traditional elevator, underscored our joint focus on efficiency and practicality. This project underscores our collective dedication to educational excellence and equitable access.
