This is Space Force Junior ROTC Introducing the National Awards for Cadet Guardians: VII We continue our discussion of the awards and ribbons that will be given during these final months of the academic year. Individual awards are presented to outstanding #CadetGuardians in all ten units of the current Space Force JROTC enterprise, as well as in every Air Force JROTC unit. The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) sponsors the seventh award in precedence for individual achievement. It is given to an outstanding junior or senior member who displays the qualities of leadership. These qualities include attitude, military bearing, conduct, plus virtues such as courtesy, respect, dependability, and cooperation. The student must also display patriotism and have a "B" average in SFJROTC coursework and success in school academics. While #SFJROTC is not a military accession program, its mission is to "launch #citizens of #character with a #space-vision" into their communities. The entire SFJROTC enterprise appreciates all the organizations that sponsor the award programs that motivate the next generation of leaders toward their #Commitment to Mastery. SFJROTC units are managed by Air Force Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (AFJROTC) with the support of United States Space Force, Space Training and Readiness Command, Space Delta 13, Detachment 2.

Out in the Fleet, not missing a beat! BQC-NR students ENS Zhe Liu and ENS Kristine Banzuelo are stomping the deck plates and using what they've learned from the BQC-NR course to help them conduct audits onboard the USS Mustin (DDG 89) during the ship's Supply Management Certification preparations. Specifically, these U.S. Navy Reserve officers are performing location audits, which means they must thoroughly examine 2,849 line items. That's a lot! Great work, ENS Banzuelo and ENS Liu! #hardwork #whatrightlookslike #fromseabedtospace #navyreserves

This is Space Force Junior ROTC The Initial Spark to Launch Citizens of Character During a recent visit with the current class at Basic Military Training, the Chief Master Sergeant of the Space Force John Bentivegna described the relationship of the four Guardian Values this way: “I got asked what my favorite Core Value out of our 4Cs was. I said Character. I explained we can teach Connection, Commitment, and Courage. Character stands above all because it’s what they bring with them. It’s great to see them on their Space Force journey!” If #character is what arrives with the new recruit to the nation’s newest and most technical military service, where does it come from? Where does it begin? That is THE mission of SFJROTC! Space Force Junior ROTC is not a military accession program. Its mission is to “launch #citizens of character with a #space vision into their communities.” Regardless of what they choose to do in life, #SFJROTC students are mentored in the most important tool for their future success, character. The ten SFJROTC units located around the United States are managed by Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC) with the support of United States Space Force, Space Training and Readiness Command, Space Delta 13, Detachment 2. As they state in their Cadet Guardian Commitment, the #CadetGuardians “strive to live a life that is Always Above.” #SemperSupra (Photograph and the quote come from the official account of the CMSSF on another channel.)

The Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) welcomed professionals from the operations research and analytics communities to campus for the 92nd Military Operations Research Society (MORS) Symposium, June 24-27, 2024. “I believe we are in a period of significant importance for the analytic community,” said U.S. Navy Rear Adm. Douglas Sasse, Director, Assessment Division (OPNAV N81), during his remarks at the symposium’s kickoff session on June 25. “Most of us that have been in this business for a while have seen the weight decision-makers place on analysis ebb and flow over the years. From my viewpoint, we are seeing a resurgence in demand, and the analytic community needs to remain focused on answering the bell.” The symposium brought together more than 900 attendees from the military, government, industry and academia – mainly from the operations research (OR) field and many NPS graduates – to exchange information, examine research and discuss critical national security issues. “This is the best operations research department in the world. They set the standard for how others do it, and it's the only one that is uniquely focused on the military applications of operations research,” said retired U.S. Navy Capt. Arthur (Trip) Barber, a MORS fellow and 1979 NPS graduate. “It's kind of the Mecca that everyone comes back to when they want to know what the state of the art is, and the technology, and how to teach it.” • Read the full story at: https://lnkd.in/g5yNH2x5 • More about Operations Research at NPS: https://nps.edu/web/or US Navy | United States Marine Corps #usnavy #marines #professionaldevelopment #operationsresearch #defense #education

This is Space Force Junior ROTC The Cadet Guardian Commitment #1 Join with the #CadetGuardians in the nation's ONLY Title 10, U.S. Code-mandated youth program with a #space-focus as they recite their "Cadet Guardian Commitment." It begins ... "I am a Cadet Guardian. ..." The unique "Cadet Guardian Commitment" reflects how they embrace the #GuardianValues that are the flight plan for becoming #citizens of #character while living lives of meaning and purpose. The unique title of "Cadet Guardian" is theirs alone. Just like their mentors in the nation's newest military service, these unique four values set the Cadet Guardians apart from their Air Force cadet peers. It is still one "greater Air Force family". However, having different values allows these high school students to focus on their own futures as champions for space in their communities. The nation is better for having future leaders with distinct abilities and vision that can come together for the greater good of all. The #SFJROTC enterprise is managed by the Air Force Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (AFJROTC) with the support of the United States Space Force, Space Training and Readiness Command, Space Delta 13, Detachment 2. As a Title 10 program, the Space Force Junior ROTC enterprise, like its Air Force managers, cannot endorse any other private organization without express legal permissions from national authority.

#DLATroopSupport Subsistence's Navy Readiness Officer, CDR Patrick Amundson, and Contract Division Chief, Joe Hauser, recently teamed up with NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Jacksonville and mission partner US Foods in Port Orange, Florida. “Our mission partners understand the dynamic environment in which the Navy operates,” Amundson said. “This engagement helps US Foods gain better visibility on subsistence requirements needed by Navy ships and improves supportability ahead of future demands.” This critical engagement with the Navy and US Foods focuses on increasing demand visibility while adding responsiveness in subsistence order support to the warfighter.
