PSA 🔊 for founders hiring their first sales leader: **Don’t over optimize for company logos on someone’s resume. Instead focus on their skills and specific attributes as an individual** Selling a solution with insane product market fit successfully isn’t the same as selling a no name product in a noisey space 🔑 Ofcourse there are exceptions everywhere but in sales (unlike engg) specifically you want up bet on people that have made it work despite tough circumstances 💪 Resilience and grit FTW 🙌 TLDR: focus on the persons skills and attributes and don’t let the company they have been part of create a halo effect 😇 Easy framework on how to prioritize the diff profiles that I recently shared with a founder ✅

Hiring your first AE? Here's what to look for: ✅ Self-prospecting experience is a must! Ideally, they’ve been an SDR before or have recent hands-on prospecting experience. ✅ Fast career growth and consistent promotions show ambition. You want someone who could maybe even evolve into a player/coach as your team scales. At least a mentor. ✅ Ownership mindset – find someone who’s eager to drive both their personal growth and your company’s success. ✅ Track record of hitting quota for 3-4 years is key. Proven results speak louder than promises. What else would you add?

We have alot more fine-tuning to do but our unit economics tells us it's time! More on the role: 📈 You will be joining a winning locker room - a team of sellers that are all hitting targets MoM. We are predictably partnering with 200+ customers per month (the AE team is closing at 55%+). Your work will generate $20 - 25k ARR / mo like clockwork. Room to grow too as we're just getting started. 📞 This is a call-heavy role. Response rates and conversion rates are significantly higher over phone vs email. Gotta talk the talk...literally. No spray and pray. 🧰 We sell to blue-collar SMB personas (owners of Pool Servicing companies).
