Chile hasn´t won medals in the Olympics for 16 years and in Paris 2024, the gold for Francisca Crovetto in skeet shooting and the silver medal for Yasmani Acosta in Greco-Roman rrestling were great news. They are both Coolbet ambassadors and there is no luck in this case. In the 2023 Pan American Games we sponsored more than twenty athletes who won 17 medals. We raised the stakes for the Olympics and while the competitors were focused on football + football + football, we turned 180 degrees and found value in someone no one was watching. That is teamwork, knowledge of the Latam market and a smile at the end of the day in the Santiago office (and at the headquarters in Estonia) because in August 2024, Coolbet is with two Olympic medalists and with Colo-Colo, the most important football team in Chile. Not bad for a company that is just beginning to write its own history in Latam :) PS: Thanks to former Coolbet workers like Julio B., who always beleived in the project and of course to current colleagues who put time, passion and patience into this task.

Did you know the Copa America is the world’s oldest international football (soccer) tournament?! It was first held in 1916 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Argentina’s independence! This past month I had the privilege of working as a Competition Analyst and Training Site Coordinator for the CONMEBOL Copa America 2024. This position allowed me to explore the world of mega sports events highlighting the extensive preparation it takes to plan and execute international sporting competitions. My role included communicating with different stakeholders to ensure that the designated training sites were up to par with CONMEBOL standards while fulfilling the immediate demands from the national teams using them. My key takeaways from this experience are: 1.) Timely and efficient communication is crucial when looking to work with different stakeholders to achieve a common goal. 2.) Do not promise anything you can’t deliver! It is imperative to check in with all partners and review all regulations before committing to doing something. 3.) Create a daily checklist and share this document with your team and all personnel involved. Being on the same page means being a step ahead! 4.) Go above and beyond with every detail! Mega events are all about reputation and building relationships. If you leave a positive impression and image of your site/stadium/city it will be more likely this same event will be hosted there again! #copaamerica #megasports #football

Hardly any segment within entertainment and media has been through a similar metamorphosis in recent years like sports and all the business associated with it.

One of the most interesting round table discussions on the first day of Sport Forum Hungary took place under the title "Hungarian coaches in the top leagues". Experts such as: ➡️ László Bölöni, former BEK-winning footballer, national team captain of Romania, head coach of Sporting Lisbon, Standard Liège and Panathinaikos, among others; ➡️ Pál Dárdai, former national team footballer, national team captain of Hungary, head coach of Hertha BSC; ➡️ Zsolt Lőw, former national team footballer, assistant coach of RB Salzburg, RB Leipzig, PSG, Chelsea and Bayern Munich. Interestingly, they all said things that I often say myself, here are a few examples: ✅ Have a regular exchange of professional ideas between the coaches! (Zsolt Lőw) ✅ What has changed is the speed of the game; what is not, is the quality of the players. Between the ages of 9 and 13, it is decided whether he can play football. ⚽ What are the potential differences in match running performance of professional soccer players before scoring and conceding a goal? 📊 📢 I have the pleasure of announcing that a new article, which I co-authored, has been just published in Scientific Reports (Nature Portfolio), titled "Match running performance preceding scoring and conceding a goal in men’s professional #soccer" 💡. Together with my research team, including Marek Konefał, Błażej Szmigiel, Bogdan Bochenek, Ryland Morgans, we analysed data from 278 matches in the Polish Ekstraklasa S.A. to understand the differences in running performance of players 5 minutes before scoring and conceding a goal. Our findings reveal that teams scoring goals exhibit significantly higher running activity during this period. Many people ask me who will win the European Championship 2024.When i said 2018 and 2022 that Croatia is one of 3 top favorite teams,even my close friend was joking with me.Same as i said after first game of Marocco,that this team is hungry enough to win a 🏅first time in history of african football. Yesterday i saw Portugal vs Croatia. For me the 2 main candidates.Both teams,with arround 20 equal top players but still with a team menthality.The main reason why i choose this 2 nations,that both teams have also several game changer,who can decide a game even if the team dont perform. As third candidate i want to add Denmark.A team with the best physical stuff of all teams.A team with high running performance and team spirit.Also their corners and free kicks are on highest level.
