At JBA, our people are at the heart of everything we do. Today we hosted our annual #JBAAwards 2024. These awards celebrate the excellence, innovation and dedication that each of our colleagues brings to JBA every day. Our #Awards consist of two key categories: Culture and Success. These awards acknowledge the varied strengths and contributions of individuals and project teams, highlighting their impact on our achievements, their commitment to our core values and making JBA a great place to work. Four awards are given in each category, and colleagues can make nominations at any time of the year. The winners are honoured in either our Quarterly or Annual Awards. 🎬 Check out the video below to learn more about the awards in each category. 🏆 Huge congratulations to all the nominees - and winners! #WeAreDifferent #CareersWithJBA #CompanyCulture

Introducing our 𝐖𝐅𝐓𝐆𝐀 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐆𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐏𝐒! Members, please refer to our latest newsletter for details. If any of you have not received the newsletter, you're welcome to contact us. For general information, please note the following: At the World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations (WFTGA), we believe in collaborative leadership. Each member of our Executive Board (ExBo) has a specific area of responsibility. These areas are supported by working groups where members can actively participate, discuss tasks, and contribute to decision-making. The working groups have the autonomy to make independent decisions. However, for significant decisions or those requiring financial or human resources, the responsible ExBo member will bring a proposal to the entire Executive Board. This ensures that while the Executive Board sets general guidelines, our membership can engage directly and influence the direction of our global association. This structure aims to enhance collaboration, increase transparency, and encourage active participation within our organisation or federation. We invite you to explore our working groups and consider applying to join. Your participation will help strengthen and advance our WFTGA community. Please submit your request for the working groups by the end of July 2024 via the form provided on our website: https://lnkd.in/dHWFH-xZ #WFTGA #WFTGAWorkingGroups #WFTGAmembers

𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞. The only way we're going to make our economy more just, inclusive and regenerative is by collaborating with other businesses. And it's the principle of collaboration that is at the very heart of JEDI MATTERS Collective and it's why I'm so excited to be welcoming three new businesses to our fold: Bold Bean Co, MOTH Drinks - B Corp™ & Absolute Collagen. As a group of 7 SME's our total collective is now 300 people (equivalent to that of a medium size org). Across our organisations our teams will benefit from the shared learning, resources and mentorship but even more than that the richness that comes by interacting with more people from different backgrounds and perspectives when it comes to understanding more about DE&I. After a year in beta mode myself, Sacha Harvey from Lucky Saint | B Corp™, Steve Kearns from Cawston Press | B-Corp™, Simon Terry from Anglepoise® | B Corp™ and Ali Fisher - Plans With Purpose are excited about what 2025 will bring for JEDI MATTERS Collective! Read more about what we've done in 2024 below.

Judges typically look for a few key things in award submissions. First, they want to see a clear and compelling story, something that grabs their attention and keeps them engaged. They also look for measurable impact, so include data and results that show the difference your organisation has made. Innovation is another biggie; highlight any unique or creative aspects of your work. Judges appreciate it when you demonstrate how your organisation stands out from the crowd. Additionally, alignment with the award criteria is crucial. Make sure you thoroughly understand what the judges are looking for and tailor your submission to meet those specific requirements. Judges are busy people, so clarity and simplicity go a long way. Lastly, passion and authenticity can make a big difference. Show your enthusiasm for your organisation and let your genuine commitment shine through. So, tell your story, back it up with solid evidence, keep it straightforward, and let your passion be your secret weapon! #AwardSeason2025 #AwardNominee #CelebratingSuccesses

Now it's time to showcase our third award winner, Neil Philipson CPP. CAP. Fellow APMP MBA, who picked up the award for Contribution to the Profession. 🎉It’s great to see you win an award Neil, could you tell us a bit about your nomination? My application focused on me being one of Mott MacDonald’s most senior bid professionals and the advantage this brings not just to the business but the wider profession. My nomination highlighted that as well as leading on the capture and bid management phases of an opportunity, I also form an integral part of our win community’s development process. The submission showed how I champion the bidding profession using my industry experience, knowledge of APMP and associated qualifications. It also highlighted my passion for undertaking mentoring, training and professional talks both inside and outside of the company. The nomination had numerous live examples that meant tonnes of evidence that would resonate with any bid profession. 🎉 How does it feel to win the Contribution to the Profession award? I am extremely proud to win this award and be recognised for my contribution. APMP is something I truly believe in. The APMP gave me a place I could call home. It created a career for me that I never thought existed and Certifications supported my growth and made me relevant in organisations I worked for. I have dedicated a lot of time over the last 15+ years to serving the APMP through volunteering in various roles, travelling to conferences and events, writing articles and supporting other members in their careers, all whilst having fun. Most importantly it provided a platform where I could contribute and give back to newcomers to the Association by mentoring them and giving them some career direction based on my experience. These have been the best years of my working career. 🎉 What pearls of wisdom would you like to share? APMP is essentially a volunteer organisation and if you want to benefit from it, it is worthwhile volunteering and contributing. Promote APMP in your organisations and be the leading light in winning work using best practice. You can be the change. From an entering the awards point of view. Have a strategy developed early in the year – have an idea who you could nominate, gather the evidence and leave plenty of time to produce a great entry. Treat it like a bid – storyboard, evidence, review! #ProudToBeAPMP #ContributionToTheProfession #2024AwardWinner #Congratulations #BIDx #TBO2024
