Today is National Comfy Day! Nordic countries may laugh at our National Comfy "Day," whereas principles like Hygge and Koselig are embedded into their cultures. Luckies!
That in 2000 somebody thought the USA needed to designate a such a "day" should tell you enough. Comfy days, comfy goals should be a part of every day-along with trying to get outside, to be in nature, no matter the temp.
Koselig is much more than being cozy-it's about being content and creating a pleasant space/enviroment. Like Hygge, Koselig speaks to finding joy in the little things of life, concepts that help Scandinavians make it, as happily as possible, through tough times, through days of cold and darkness.
It's no wonder that each year for many years, Nordic countries top out the list of best places to live, where comfiness is considered normal, where blankets abound when necessary, where children are taught to appreciate the petals of a flower, every snowflake, each day.
Make sure to get yourself cozy sometime today. Help someone else feel comfy. You won't regret it.
