Today is International Self-Care Day according to the WHO. The image below originally published in https://lnkd.in/gYPFbH8F, provides some excellent examples of prioritizing one's individual needs. I would like to add to one more category to this list: Community (Self) Care. 1. Reach out/meet with friends 2. Volunteer 3. Go to a group class 4. Play a team sport 5. Organize a community garden 6. Create a reading group or book exchange 7. Sign up to be a poll worker 8. Attend a community event (eg. Pride Parade) 9. Find some elders... and listen to them. 10. Shop from a farmer's market, farm, independent or underrepresented business There are MANY ways to care for oneself. One way is through an individual lens... another way is through a community one.
