The sad reality of using pills and procedures over lifestyle change is that those on GLP-1RAs aren't eating any healthier. 95% of serotonin is produced in the gut, and GLP-1 drugs don't lend to eating more fiber which is necessary to fuel the gut flora responsible for serotonin production. Perhaps the limited fiber that was being consumed before taking the drug was further reduced, and thus the correlation between GLP-1RAs and increased use of antidepressants. https://lnkd.in/g6Y535CD
