This interesting article from PA Consulting notes that: ‘In double-quick time, AI has moved from being a niche, boffins-only preoccupation to being everywhere, and on everyone’s lips. It’s serving customers, pitching for business, and making decisions. It’s developing software, writing code, and generating videos.’ But PA also suggests it’s still largely happening in pockets – an exploration here, a pilot there. That’s certainly chimes with what I see in physical security, risk, and resilience, for example. Is it now time to fully integrate AI into our ‘strategic heart’ and grasp the opportunity to transform? If so, how to win the hearts and minds of the workforce, and maximise the value of uniquely human skills enhanced by innovative AI competencies? And if not now, when…?
