We all know how the pandemic affected the way that we run events online/hybrid/in-person. The one thing that is priority when working on behalf of our clients is strong relationships with the venues we work closely with. If you didn't attend the recently concluded Golden Penny Soup Festival, or GP Soup Fest as the "cool cats" affectionately called it, you truly missed out. In essence, the event can be summarized in two words - "Everywhere Soup." This occasion was indeed a humbling experience, and it left a lasting impact on all participants, whether they were consumers or stakeholders. Personally, I may not be much of a storyteller; my forte lies in numbers. So, let's delve into the quantitative aspects. We had a mere three weeks to amplify and generate awareness for the event. Admittedly, I experienced a moment of panic, questioning whether it was adequate to meet our KPIs. The brand had set the benchmark at 4,000 pre-event registrations for a successful inaugural large-scale event. The results, however, speak for themselves: Over 7 million impressions were generated within the designated timeframe. We achieved over 14,000 pre-event registrations, exceeding our expectations. More than 7,000 consumers interacted with the brand, a testament to the event's resonance. The cooking competition and treasure hunt awarded over 3 million Naira worth of gift items, including TVs, Fridges, Smartphones, Power-banks, and other valuable items. We showcased over 12 Nigerian soups and their best pairing with King Semovita. While it is noteworthy that a significant portion of the organizing team persevered tirelessly, standing for over 26 consecutive hours during the two-day event, their unwavering commitment was solely directed toward curating an exceptional experience for our valued consumers. In the immortal words of Layi Wasabi, "Wrap it up, wrap it up."
