HR staffing levels can be challenging to understand and determine the right path - as there isn't a one size fits all approach. This SHRM article has interesting information and findings from both their own research and a recent ADP study. They found the “sweet spot” for most employers is between 1.5 and 4.5 HR staff per 100 employees. According to SHRM’s 2022 Human Capital Benchmark Report, the average HR staff to employee ratio is 1.7 per 100. The 2023-2024 SHRM State of the Workplace Report was released today and some of the stats are BONKERS. 🤯 81% of HR professionals state employee morale and engagement is their top focus for 2024. 58% of HR professionals shared their organizations faced the greatest hiring challenges in 2023. 70% of HR professionals shared that recruiting skilled workers is on the top priorities list for 2024.
