I’ll be getting my bystander cards tomorrow

Excellent research and analysis that dives deeply into current housing conditions in Alameda County. This was immensely helpful to frame communication with voters and others in and around the district. Well done Phoebe Chiu 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

As the results continue to roll in we will see the final count shift and change. There are many tens of thousands of ballots left to be counted and we know young people, progressives and voters of color tend to vote closer to Election Day. Each vote is important and a representation of the people’s voice. We are committed to ensuring that every vote is counted. While we don’t know yet, what the final vote count will be, many other things are crystal clear. People in Alameda County’s fourth district are amazing! My deepest gratitude goes out to you! To every person who believed in this campaign, who voted for me, donated their hard-earned money, or volunteered their precious time, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your unwavering support has been the bedrock of our pursuit of a just and liberated future. Our fight is far from over. To my team, your dedication and painstaking work have not gone unnoticed. You have poured everything into this campaign, and thanks to your efforts, we have come this far. Over the course of the upcoming days and weeks, we will come to know the final results of the election. In the meantime, #TeamEsteen is doing behind the scenes work, continuing our collaboration with partners and endorsers as we prepare for all that is to come. We still need and deserve dignified housing we can afford, healthcare that is preventative and accessible, mental health care and justice for all. For too long women have been told to “wait their turn” to “stop being so dramatic” that our experience doesn’t count, isn’t relevant or isn’t adequate, and we’re constantly being told we are “too emotional to hold office.” Well, women are tired of that narrative. IT’S. NOT. TRUE. There are so many qualified women on the ballot this election season. Elect Black Women PAC and California Women’s List are empowering women to run and win across California and nationwide. Both organizations have endorsed me! Black women are underrepresented in municipal and statewide executive offices. This is because Black women face unique barriers to political participation: they often lack the socio-economic resources and networks which leads to questions about "electability.” Elect Black Women PAC is working to help Black women overcome these challenges by offering assistance with fundraising, earning valuable support and increasing visibility to demonstrate "viability." California Women’s List endorses, fundraises for, and helps elect women to public office who champion policies that dismantle systems of oppression. They know that all issues are women’s issues and also continue to advance reproductive rights, equal pay, and equitable representation.
