Are Vegans/Vegetarians brainwashed/biased!?
It’s funny how so many people believe that myself and other outspoken vegan/vegetarians are brainwashed/biased.
People see it as a cult following, or irrational behavior. Most feel that they grew up on eggs, fish, white or red meat, and that thus it’s a normal thing. And that generations have done the same to their benefit.
But little do they know that they themselves are overlooking the direct/causal connection/association between the amount of animal products in someone’s diet and certain chronic diseases.
In fact, the majority of diseases that are now among the top 10 causes of death, are directly caused and/worsened by the consumption of animal products. And no it’s not just about fast foods, and it’s not just about processed foods, and it’s not just about refined sugars. It’s mainly about consuming a high animal protein/high saturated fat diet.
The fact is that even if one is to eat the cleanest form of any particular animal product (seafood, dairy, poultry, red meat etc) at a high frequency (ex three times a day) then they will be subject to those conditions on our top 10 causes of death: hypertension, heart attacks, stroke, cancer, COPD, chronic kidney disease, type 2 diabetes, etc. For one it is nearly impossible to consume animal products that are not processed, and we forget that even cooking foods is a form of processing.
Not to mention that most animal products must be processed or cured in some way in order to be preserved for travel and for shelflife. And that even among people living in a traditional manner and eating the cleanest versions of animal products such as the masai and Inuit are found to have significant atherosclerosis by their 30s.
