"It cannot just be up to individual teachers to believe more or hope more: the school or organizational ecosystem must support belief." Check out our next blog post with key takeaways from research by Jenni Donohoo, Linda Darling-Hammond, John Hattie and more about collective efficacy development and professional learning cultures. Hello everyone, I am Yanbo Cui, a master of Finance from UNSW Business School. Do you know how many Americans die prematurely every year because of pollution caused by fossil fuels? Over 30,000. Is it feasible and necessary to accelerate renewable energy, represented by solar and wind energy, in the United States, where the traditional energy industry is developed? The answer is YES. In my speech, I comprehensively analyzed the losses that would be avoided and the potential huge economic gains that would come from accelerating the U.S. push for renewable energy. It is my great honor to share with you the research results of my COMM5501 project closely related to SDG7.2 in this semester. At the same time, I am very grateful to my colleagues Zheng Yiran and Liu Liu for their valuable feedback, as well as Professor poon and Supervisor Chen Jun for their careful support. The journey in this course has had a huge impact on me, and I have made a complete change in the way I communicate with people. I used to love giving speeches because I found it hard to convince an audience even when there was evidence. However, this course made me suddenly realize that each person needs a unique way to communicate, that is to say, what we have to discuss must be closely related to his personal interests, so that he will pay attention to and listen to our suggestions or advice. It is such a straightforward truth, I know this semester in the course of the deep understanding. For the rest of my career, I will no longer worry about not being able to convince leaders or clients effectively. Overall, my self-assessment of my data story on this topic is 10/10, based on the guild line. In the beginning, I used hooks to keep the audience engaged and aware of the importance of the next topic. Throughout the presentation, a large number of strongly correlated data were used to ensure that the audience was rationally approved by the specific and credible data. At the same time, all the data and topics are closely related to the audience: the president of the United States. This ensures that it will value and listen to my advice. Finally, I repeatedly checked the logic of the whole presentation to ensure the rigor of the logic so that the audience could completely accept my analysis and suggestions from a rational perspective. As a master of finance, just mastering professional knowledge is not enough for my future career. I am very glad that I can choose COMM5501, a course taught by Professor Poon, and I am no longer afraid of convincing others. The video link is below: https://lnkd.in/g4PKA9Yi #UNSW #SDG #SDG 7.2

Many EC and other large research and development projects require that the project partners disseminate information on the project and the outcomes. This is, of course, a very reasonable request. As public money is being invested into furthering knowledge, results must be shared widely. Here, we outline a few key activities that the Maple team consider to ensure projects are disseminated as effectively as possible. 📄 https://lnkd.in/gfNYsKgQ #consulting #project #research

[Project Engagement] The v3.0 and Beyond Yesterday I wrote a 60-slide deck introducing the Project Engagement approach (v3.0) in Chinese to discuss a collaborative research project with a friend who is a PhD student in China. v1.0 is about Andy Blunden's approach to Activity Theory and the basic structure of "Project". The outcome is the Project Engagement toolkit (v1.0, 2021): https://lnkd.in/gbzEHZ2x v2.0 is about the Growth of "Project". It touched "Project Network", "Project as Platform", and "Life-History Topology". https://lnkd.in/gNcsGNeG v3.0 is more about the Outside of "Project". I used a Map to curate relevant knowledge frameworks to form a toolkit. You can find the map and the toolkit in the link below: Project Engagement and Professional Knowledge Engagement https://lnkd.in/g94v_Xym (5/21/2024)
