My baby just got engaged!
Okay, not literally—but it feels like it! I'm thrilled to share that Merryfield has been acquired by Attain. We built the first-ever standards-driven rewards platform, and I’m confident it will thrive in its new home.
Six years ago, fresh from a sabbatical in France, David Mayer reached out on LinkedIn with an idea that would change how people shop. His vision? A platform to help mainstream grocery shoppers make healthier choices through education and rewards. I don’t typically join startups at the “idea-on-paper” stage, but David’s vision was compelling, his energy contagious—and he had already assembled an incredible team, including Joe Dickson as co-founder, Caroline Schaefer Del Col, Jennie McConaghy Aleckson, Brian Ploetz, and Kim McDevitt, MPH RD. I was honored to step in as the founding CMO and be part of this journey.
As we grew, more incredible talent joined us: Roland Atema, Michelle Arena, Amanda Creighton, Melissa Studzinski, Mark Simmons, Jake Quinter, Madeline Greene, Maxine Presto, David Chapman, Cassandra K., Errol Schweizer, Mia Davis—and I couldn’t have done it without critical help from Paul Pender and Brent Bradley on CRM, and Kevin Keeley with his deep expertise in paid media. Our Whitespectre development partners became an extension of our team, and I highly recommend them to anyone needing outsourced development—they’re amazing.

I’m incredibly grateful for the journey, the product we built, and the relationships we formed along the way—with my amazing colleagues, our better-for-you member brands, and loyal users. These better-for-you brands are doing something so important. It’s not easy to create and sell products made with good ingredients for both people and the planet—it should be, but it’s not. So, keep supporting them, stay curious, and read the labels and upload your receipts on Merryfield!
Now, with Merryfield in Attain’s capable hands, I’m looking forward to what’s next. I’m exploring some exciting opportunities, but I would love your help.
