The ethics of AI in healthcare is concerned with patient privacy, data security, and bias in algorithms. Additionally, the rapid development and deployment of AI technologies may outpace the regulatory frameworks, creating a challenge to ensure the use of AI meets established safety and efficacy standards. What is the balance between innovation and regulation? For a cybersecurity professional, the challenges include the acquisition of AI security expertise, ensuring all data is encrypted and protected, access controls and authentication to the system that leverage AI, including heightened security through a layered approach, and continuous monitoring, Compliance with healthcare regulation (HIPAA), and gaining a deep understanding of how AI models and algorithms include security protection for the data.
