Why you should think twice about using that first call deck if you want to win BIG deals Sorry marketers please don’t hate me…but here’s why: To do the biggest, scariest, most exciting deals you need to go DEEP into your customer’s business 💰Understand how they make money? 🔑 Uncover who the key players are? What their motivations are? 📈 Fix for the big challenges that impact their share price 🗣️ Speak their industry lingo / language 🦸♀️Design / build a story which makes your customer or your customer’s customer the hero But I’m willing to bet your first call decks will focus on your offering, your company etc What’s even tougher is every one of your competitors has a virtually identical deck to yours And respectfully your customer doesn’t really care about any of this… I understand first call decks are built to offer a template to sellers at scale which is fine But if you want to win BIG, take the time to make it about THEM, not YOU!
