As I am approaching what would have been my 10-year work anniversary with my former employer in the next couple of days, it's a poignant moment to reflect on the significant chapter of my career that I shared with the company. While circumstances may have led me on a different path since then, the memories, experiences, and lessons learned during my tenure hold a special place in my professional journey. 😇 Thinking back on my time with my former employer, I recall a multitude of memories and milestones that defined my career during those past years. From my very first day on the job to pivotal projects, team successes, and personal achievements, each moment contributed to my growth and development personally and professionally. Not forgetting the highs and lows, the challenges overcome, and the camaraderie shared with colleagues who became friends. I'd like to believe that my contributions to the company over the span of almost a decade undoubtedly left a lasting impact on the organization and those I've worked with. Whether it was through innovative ideas, stella performance, or mentorship of others, my presence was felt within the workplace. My dedication and commitment to my role helped, one way or the other, drive the company forward and contribute to its success. As I approach what would have been my 10-year work anniversary with my former employer, I take this opportunity to look ahead with optimism and gratitude for the experiences that have shaped me. While my journey may have taken a new direction, the foundation laid during my time with the company continues to influence my professional growth and aspirations. I will embrace the lessons learned, the connections made, and the memories cherished as I embark on the next phase of my career 🙏. Though the milestone of a 10-year work anniversary with my former employer may now be a bittersweet reminder of the past, it serves as a testament to my DEDICATION, RESILIENCE, and CONTRIBUTION in the professional realm. Here's to honoring🎖 the journey that brought me to where I am today and to embracing the future with enthusiasm and open arms. 🌟 💐

5 years ago, I opened my online business. I had no idea how to build a website, manage marketing, or get clients. But, I had a strong desire to help people with their careers. At first, it was challenging trying to figure out the different aspects of building and running an online business. The marketing, branding, and sales were all so confusing. However, my passion for helping people kept me going. As I started helping more people and witnessing their success, my confidence grew. Seeing the results of my work, with clients getting multiple interviews and landing new jobs within weeks, was extremely rewarding. Today, reflecting on my 5 year work anniversary, I realize how far I’ve come. It’s important to appreciate what you have achieved, and remember that today was once a dream you had. Quality, focus, and enthusiasm are crucial, and when you have these, everything else falls into place. This is just the beginning! ✨ Focus on work that aligns with your values, gradually build your standards, and most importantly, enjoy the process. I’ve learned to really enjoy what I do each day rather than just waiting for the outcome. I am confident that if you stick to your plan, you’ll achieve your career goals and find meaningful and inspiring work. You deserve it! 👏 P.S. Celebrating my 5 year work anniversary! 🎉😊

Today, I am honored to be celebrating my 16-Year Work Anniversary with my company! That is a lifetime to some. It feels amazing. The people who I have met, and the things that I have learned on this journey have shaped my life in so many ways. Here are some of the lessons that I have learned over the years... * Work/life balance is crucial. It is important not to lose sight of what you are working for. Take the vacation. Go to the little-league game. Live a good life. It is short and you only get ONE. So, work to live, not the other way around. * Be kind and respectful and greet everyone. Every person in every position. * Give your respect freely but give your trust wisely. Guard your heart and your personal life. Be discreet. Know the difference between being friends and being friendly. Check your emotions. Don’t react quickly. Observe silently. Avoid office politics and gossip. * Show up. Be consistent and take action. * Be sincere, intentional and authentic. This goes for both your business and your personal life. * Don’t be afraid to ask people to share their wisdom and experience with you. Share your knowledge with others. * Know the difference between healthy competition and unhealthy “comparisonitis”. * Use the right tools, organize everything, and keep good notes. * Clear is Kind. Keep your communications clear, concise and easy to understand. * Confidence in your abilities and knowing your value is important to your success. Believe in yourself and in your work.

A few days ago, I celebrated my first work anniversary with Toll. Honestly, I never imagined I’d come this far. I still remember my first day at the company—I was instantly filled with regret and plagued by doubt, wondering if I had made the wrong decision. After spending 10 years of my life building what I had—nurturing meaningful relationships and creating a solid foundation—it was natural to feel hesitant when I decided to start over and rebuild my career with people I didn’t know or trust yet. What I feared the most was loneliness. I knew the role I was stepping into came with its own set of sacrifices. I had to navigate being on my own—without the daily conversations, coffee breaks, lunches, and camaraderie I once enjoyed. But I knew I had to do what needed to be done. You can’t have it all. Moving forward often means letting go of something you hold most dear. Over the past year, I’ve realized that many of us aren’t necessarily afraid of change itself; we’re afraid of leaving behind the familiar and stepping away from what we already know. Venturing into the unknown isn’t something that comes naturally to us. As humans, we’re wired with a fight-or-flight instinct designed to protect us, making it even harder to embrace uncertainty. Here’s the thing: if you don’t take chances, you’ll never discover what’s waiting for you out there. Your calling might just be out there, waiting for you to take that leap. Here’s to more adventures and life’s rollercoaster moments! 🩷 Captured in this picture are the people I spent so much of my time with in my previous organization—the familiarity I left behind a year ago.

🎉 Celebrating my 7th work anniversary today! And thanks to everyone who wished me a happy anniversary on the DM in the past 2 weeks. Today is the official, formation day. Last year, I was able to check off a few things on my bucket list. There were definitely moments when I felt like throwing in the towel, but I’m grateful I didn’t. Resilience has been one of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned over the past few years, especially during the pandemic when my entire business depended on a market that kept going in and out of lockdown for 3 years. In the past year, I have met many inspiring people, made new friends, learnt more, created more and shared more—all thanks to my work. Running a China-focused marketing agency is still fun and fulfilling, most of the time! I still love my job after 7 years and here is to many more years of growth and success! ( too early for drinks, here is espresso to kick start the day!) A friend once pointed out that I don’t share enough online, which is true—and sometimes it’s intentional. I refrain from posting too much. While I’m more extroverted in professional settings, I usually only share what I feel is relevant to the business. This habit reflects a mix of cultural influences, personality, social media protocol, and the constant pull in different directions. This year, I’m challenging myself to step out of my comfort zone, just a bit more. While my personality and style may stay the same, I will find more creative ways to create and share insightful content. Stay tuned for more updates!

After three month marks my 3-year IMS Work anniversary! 🎉 As I reflect on nearly a decade here, I wanted to share the top 5 lessons I’ve learned about career development— at IMS People Possible. 1. Own your career: No one will care about your career as much as you do—not your manager nor your leaders. Take ownership, speak up, and advocate for your own growth. 2. Own your calendar: Your time is one of your MOST valuable assets, so protect it. Be intentional about how you spend it, set boundaries, and prioritize what matters most for your career goals. If you don’t manage your calendar, someone else will. 3. Focus on impact: Prioritize work that truly matters. When you focus on projects that solve real problems or create value (whether for users, your team, or the company) you drive results and position yourself as someone who makes a difference. 4. Be adaptable and embrace change: Change is constant, especially in tech. Being flexible and willing to take on new challenges not only helps you keep up but also positions you to lead in an ever-evolving landscape. 5. Seek mentorship and sponsorship: Mentors guide you, and sponsors advocate for you. Both are invaluable and worth seeking out to accelerate your growth. These lessons have been incredibly helpful and I hope you find value in them. No matter where you are in your journey, there’s always room to grow. Do any of these stand out to you?

As July wraps up,I have hit a milestone -my 1-year work anniversary as a Projects & Events Officer at C40 Cities. 🎉 I don’t usually make a fuss about work anniversaries, but this one feels Special. It’s not about my extraordinary achievements, but about the power of small, meaningful moments that make our daily work fulfilling and enjoyable. In just a year, I have experienced so much that goes beyond the job description (𝘢 𝘵𝘰𝘱𝘪𝘤 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘵!)—lessons in leadership, collaboration, and the essence of a positive work culture. Here’s what stands out: 1. 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽: A huge shoutout to whole incredible team and extended team as well their constant guidance and unwavering support. Their belief in my abilities and their encouragement make every challenge feel like a shared mission. 2. 𝗢𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: At C40, I have been entrusted with meaningful tasks and given the freedom to take ownership. The genuine appreciation from my team and leaders makes even the smallest wins feel significant. 3. 𝗔 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁: The little things matter here—like not being contacted for project updates while on leave and the generous two-week well-being break we receive. These gestures create an environment where respect and trust thrive. Personal message to share :- While waiting nervously for my interview results, my dad offered his last words of wisdom that have stayed with me. He said, “𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪’𝙧𝙚 𝙙𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙣𝙤𝙬—𝙖𝙨 𝙖 𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙨𝙚𝙬𝙞𝙛𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙯𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙤 𝙖 3-𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧-𝙤𝙡𝙙—𝙞𝙨 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙖𝙨 𝙫𝙖𝙡𝙪𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙖𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙮 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙧 𝙧𝙤𝙡𝙚. 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙮 𝙙𝙞𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙙𝙤𝙣’𝙩 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙨𝙚𝙩 𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙨, 𝙙𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨, 𝙤𝙧 𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙟𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠 𝙤𝙣. 𝙃𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧, 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙙𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙨𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙖𝙢𝙚 𝙦𝙪𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙚𝙙 𝙞𝙣 𝙖 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙧. 𝙎𝙤, 𝙙𝙤𝙣’𝙩 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡 𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙙𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣 𝙞𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙙𝙤𝙣’𝙩 𝙜𝙚𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙟𝙤𝙗.” Initially, I misunderstood my dad’s advice, feeling disheartened as if he was suggesting that not getting the job would be acceptable and that I was less deserving. However, once I secured the position, I realized he was emphasizing the importance of dedication and attitude I bring to any task are what truly matter. As I celebrate this milestone, I’m reminded of my dad’s wisdom and how it has guided me to bring my best self to work every day. As I reflect on the positive impact C40 Cities has had on my professional and personal growth, I am motivated to contribute even more to our shared goals and continue learning. Here’s to many more years of making a difference together! 🌍 #Journey #Gratitude #PositiveImpact #C40Cities #Growth

Yesterday marked my second work anniversary! While milestones like 1, 5, or 10 years are often celebrated, I believe every step forward deserves recognition. These two years have been a journey of learning, growth, and connection—something I don’t take for granted. In the whirlwind of day-to-day routines, it’s easy to overlook how far we’ve come. So today, I want to pause and reflect: Gratitude: I’m incredibly thankful for the opportunities I’ve had, the mentors who’ve guided me, and the teammates who’ve collaborated with me. Each conversation, challenge, and success has added value to my personal and professional journey. Growth: Over these two years, I’ve faced new challenges, developed skills I didn’t know I had, and built relationships that inspire me every day. The moments of discomfort have often been the ones that pushed me to grow the most. Appreciation: Life moves fast, but taking a moment to appreciate where I am reminds me of the effort and support that brought me here. It’s not just about the milestones—it’s about the journey. Never forget to celebrate your progress, no matter how big or small. Growth happens in the day-to-day, and every step forward matters. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey—you’ve made it meaningful. 💼 #WorkAnniversary

Celebrating my 1 year work anniversary today. Here are 3 things this job has taught me: From returning after a 2 year sabbatical, to tackling an entirely new industry. I’ve grown a lot. Both professionally, as a Recruiter, and personally. Here are 3 of my biggest takeaways from these past 12 months 👇 1. Have the difficult conversations A client is passing. Pick up the phone. Offer pulled. Pick up the phone. A candidate no showed their interview. Pick up the phone. Nobody likes to be the ‘bearer of bad news’, but, if you can stomach the difficult conversations you’ll find people appreciate and respect you more. 2. Trust your gut Not every opportunity, candidate, or client is worth going to bat for. That said, the ones you truly believe in. The ones who you can tell are genuinely engaged and invested. Go the extra mile for them. Not only will it help you achieve your own goals, but the relationships you’ll build in the process will pay dividends. 3. Detach from the outcome Recruiting can be an emotional rollercoaster. We win a lot. We lose more. Removing myself from the desired outcomes has allowed me to focus on what’s important. The controllables (attitude, activity, collaboration, etc.) And it’s made the day-to-day a lot more enjoyable. Excited to see what’s in store over these next 12 months! Thanks again for the opportunity, Patrick Corrigan! #recruiting #recruitinginsights #workanniversary #personaldevelopment

Work anniversary thoughts... Hmm, it feels surreal to be typing this out – my 14-year work anniversary, path of growth, challenges, and countless memories. Don't get me wrong, that I was never thinking if I should have taken a different path, or if there's a grander adventure waiting just beyond the horizon. But then I remember something - I like what I do. I've been entrusted with a responsibility that's both daunting and exhilarating-ensuring Occupational Health and Safety. Working across borders, navigating diverse regulations, and collaborating with colleagues worldwide, every day brings a new puzzle to solve and a new life to safeguard. It's a role that carries weight - the weight of responsibility for the well-being of others, where a misstep could mean more than just a missed deadline. But amidst the seriousness, there's a joy that's hard to explain. Yes, the challenges can be relentless, but they've also been my greatest teachers, shaping me into the person I am today. So, as I pause to celebrate this milestone, I'm filled with gratitude - for the journey that brought me here, for the opportunities that pushed me to grow, and for the incredible people who've believed in me and walked alongside me. Here's to 14 years of learning, of laughter, and of making a difference, one step at a time. Here's to the next chapter, whatever it may hold! #worklife #evolution #anniversary

🎉 Work Anniversaries: What Do They Really Mean? 🎉 It’s easy to mark another year at work, but does that anniversary actually mean something? 🤔 If you’re in a job where growth feels stagnant, promotions are rare, the environment is toxic, or every day feels like a routine, the anniversary is just another reminder of time passing ⏳—without real progress. On the flip side, working somewhere that challenges you to grow, that values your unique qualities, and encourages you to constantly evolve—that’s where anniversaries truly matter. 💪 It’s about finding a place where you feel appreciated, where you’re learning, and becoming a better version of yourself—both professionally and personally. 🌱 A meaningful anniversary isn’t about counting the years. It’s about reflecting on how far you’ve come and how much you’ve grown—because that’s what truly matters. 🙌 #cvforsuccessgr #WorkAnniversary #GrowthJourney #BetterEveryDay #WorkCulture #ProfessionalGrowth
