Administrator If you’re starting a business alone, you're likely going to fill all of them and more. You wear allll the hats. So if you’re having a hard time or feeling overwhelmed, cut yourself some slack. It’s a heavy lift and far more than just providing a product or service! I'd love to hear from fellow solopreneurs, did you know what you were getting into or were you surprised by all the hats? And also, did you end up outsourcing anything??
Can a beginner wear all the caps as a beginner soloprenuer.
Jessica Walrack - A very guilty all-the-hats-wearer here! 👋 I definitely used to worry about the impression/impact it would have on my brand if someone other than me did every little last thing. But LinkedIn has really opened my eyes to all the amazing quality that's out there. (Still not easy to find...but it's there!) I've been thinking about this outsourcing piece a lot lately because I know me doing everything isn't the best or most sustainable solution. Especially if I'm looking to grow and scale over the years.
I haven't read the post yet. But is this what a LinkedIn bro looks like in real life? 😂
When you break it down like that it makes me feel pretty damn good about myself and all the skillsets I've had to acquire/apply to run a successful business. Appreciate this :)
Now add the ones you wear at home, and the result is like the modern-day Tower of Babel, isn't it? 🏗️ But seriously, you hit the nail on the head!
The hats are plentiful! This list puts it all in perspective. Oh, one thing. We're also the clean-up crew.
Absolutely, wearing multiple hats as a solopreneur is no easy feat 🎩 It's all about finding the right balance. Jessica Walrack
#25 Data Scientist 😁
Managing all these positions as a solopreneur is definitely a heavy lift, but your dedication and hard work will surely pay off. It's normal to feel overwhelmed, but remember to give yourself credit for juggling so much! Your resilience is inspiring!

6moYessss wearing a billion hats 😅 it can be overwhelming sometimes but way better than working to build someone else’s empire. 10 years in and I’ve only outsourced one thing… to my partner who used to be an accountant: Filing taxes 🤣 I had my brother help me with setting up my first website many years ago but since then, I’ve learned a thing or two so I don’t need to bug him as often 🙈
