We’re here to give people the insights, skills and confidence to have those challenging but game-changing conversations.
Our Director of Research, John Higgins, recently published a thought-provoking article with Megan Reitz in Harvard Business Review on a growing trend: employee activism. In today's social landscape, employees are increasingly vocal about the issues they care about. This can be a challenge, but it's also an opportunity. John will be running a webinar 11th July where he will offer a practical framework for leaders. Would be great to see you there; link to the webinar in the comments. https://lnkd.in/eE9_CJ6v #leadership #activism #workplaceculture

Change Leader🎤| Top 50 Workplace Leader 2024 | Helping leaders drive people centric resilient change by putting people at the heart of decision making | Key Note and Conference Speaker | Published Author
I was a part of the original research for this article by Megan Reitz and John Higgins and I find it fascinating how many leaders find it difficult to, what many would describe as, "do the obvious." Taking time to stop, breath and think about the end person in mind perspective is so powerful! I think the frameworks outlined in this paper give leaders a clear pathway to ensure they stop, breath and listen, BUT and this is a biggie - it requires leaders to DO things differently. This is a challenge, I know, and I wonder who is up for it? #leadingchange #womeninchange #vistage #acmpuk #acmp Steven Bartlett https://lnkd.in/eE8H4hFj

Capability Leader | Commercial Development, Strategic Transformation and Partnering, Data and Analytics
Im encountering more and more leaders and organisations struggling with how to safely and confidently engage in complex human ethics questions. I dont necessarily agree with the label of activism, but I do think this article is a good starting point for structured thinking in the space. Here are some questions you could ask yourself: Where do you think your organisation sits on the taxonomy, and why? How does your organisation’s culture impact power shadows? How do you think your power shadow impacts what data you use to make decisions? How is your view of your taxonomy impacted by your power shadow, and how does that impact your people and your strategic intent?
“Leaders are increasingly encountering activist voices at work. It can feel important, exciting, terrifying, frustrating and lots more.” How to navigate it?
