When your neighboring land at Marina Gardes Crescent cost Kingfords $1402 psf ppr, why should the government let you win the bid at 30% lower, i.e. 984 psf ppr? When money is made, would you share it with us? Or will you sell at much cheaper rate to the public? Also how can this land be priced cheaper than Toa Payoh GLS ($1359 psf ppr)?

FSBO - if you know what you're doing it might work. A lot of sites advertise FSBO as an option to "save $30,000" on commission structures. I've seen it first-hand, and I must say - it doesn't often end well. Firstly, many owners forget that there are advertising costs involved with getting the house viewable to the market which if not done properly, may cost upwards of $4,000. The more devastating scenario is when a house is sold grossly under-value (which I have seen cost a homeowner around $90,000) and then the buyer re-sells the home a year later to avoid CGT for a $100,000+ profit. This is not an ideal situation and by contracting the right agent, you can avoid this problem.

What's next is the right question to ask. Keeping jurisdictions in constant chaos over the lack of ability or desire to work for the people vs forcing the people into constantly complying to the demands of the state when things go wrong doesn't bode well for a great future for the next generation. Thanks for speaking up Dan.
We’re all happy to finally have our water back to normal but I’m hearing lots of Calgarians are pretty unhappy with the entire ordeal. I had this to say to Bell. “This isn’t the time for taking a victory lap,” says McLean. “Someone dropped the ball. People have a right to be choked. “We pay our money and we expect our water. We expect the city to maintain the pipes, to inspect the pipes, to repair the pipes.” Then McLean asks a question of city hall. What’s next?
