Myntra ads are experts in creating the illusion of a great deal. I recently paused my YouTube ad-skipping habit to dissect their offerings. One recurring ad from Myntra caught my attention for its hefty investment. The ad boldly proclaims "Get Minimum 50% off and extra 10% off on Nike." Initially, in the brief 10-second clip, it sounded like a flat 50% discount on Nike. However, upon careful listening, the real message became clear: - Enjoy a sitewide minimum 50% discount. - Receive an additional 10% off on Nike. Surrounded by competing brands, Flipkart boldly claims: "Har ad mein jo dikhta hai, woh Flipkart pe milta hai!" (Everything you see advertised, is available on Flipkart). It's a clever move to position themselves as the one-stop shop for everything you're already seeing around you. Flipkart's IPL ad strategy is a must-know for marketers. The campaign by Flipkart, during the IPL season, focuses on promoting their premium + large screen TVs through an out-of-home (OOH) advertising strategy. The proposition is clear: Flipkart is offering great deals on these TVs –> aiming to attract customers seeking a ⬆️ viewing experience. Larger TVs do not only benefit viewers but also the brands advertising during IPL matches. With bigger screens, ads become more prominent + engaging. They're basically saying, "Hey [other brands], thanks to our awesome TVs, your ads are going to look even more awesome on these big screens!" The idea behind Flipkart's campaign is innovative + collaborative.
