Today, we are highlighting Dr. Shabnam Javdani’s impactful project. This research examines how Black girls' experiences of school pushout may increase their risk for suicide and self-harm, while also evaluating how the ROSES community-based advocacy program can mitigate these harms. 💛💙

If you answered yes to both of these questions, then you're in luck because our June 26th In-Service Training is titled "I'm A CASA and I've Got Questions." Presented in-person by Randy Fike, MSW, LSW, CASA Volunteer, is hoping to assist current CASA/GAL volunteers revisit fundamental roles and strategies in assessment and advocacy for children. CASA/GAL volunteers will have an opportunity to learn from their peers while identifying areas of strengths in addition to sharing ideas on ways to improve. Its success is defined by the outcomes we achieve, not in our intentions, our commitments, or even our actions. This is the bar to meet.
