Is everything pre-destined? Or do you have control over your life? Here’s a simple way to look at it: If you live mindlessly, your past will shape your future. ↳ your past trauma. ↳ your past habits. ↳ your past mistakes. or, as some call it, your past 'karma' or 'sanskara.' Does that mean you have no control over your life? Actually, you do. If you start living mindfully, your past loses control over you. And your present starts to determine your future. Your life is like a river flowing downhill. If you remain mindless, the inertia of past currents will carry you wherever they lead. If only healing were as easy as taking out the trash. It may be challenging at times but it sure does feel good when you make breakthroughs and reach your goals. Getting in touch with your emotions allows you to feel and make sense of your emotions. It can be difficult to sit with your pain or confront uncomfortable memories.
