Proudness. When I walk through my production lines, I see our operators show dedication and ownership to create high quality pads and bags. In case of machine failure - inevitable in production - there is collaboration between Operator and Technician. Together they do not accept less than perfect product according to our Quality standards. When I see such a line running again, producing high-quality Senseo, I am proud of our people and products. And thus take such a bag to put on my desk - to remind where I am here for. I do consider violating our clean-desk policy by remaining this nice bag on my desk ;-) #autonomousmaintenance #preventivemaintenance #ownership

❌ STOP skipping that walk-around! ❌ 🤔 But I work in a high volume store so it’s just not realistic… Technicians are great. They tell us what’s wrong with the car and how to fix it. They tell us things they noticed that could use attention. They take on all the training and years of experience it takes to do their important profession. But, they don’t need to be the ones to notice those bald tires. It doesn’t take a certified technician to noticed the tail light is out. We don’t need a technician to tell us the check engine light is on. Service advisors should be catching all these things in the service lane. Don’t have time? Make time. Schedule accordingly. Get a routine down. Use tools like check in sheets or tablets if your store has them. ✅ It really only needs to take 5 minuets if your in a rush to get the essentials noted. —— I’m Chris Craig. What's the cost of a moment's distraction in plant operations? It's higher than you might think. We all have those moments where our minds wander. But for operators, a brief lapse in focus can have big consequences: Even a few minutes of daydreaming can lead to a product that doesn't meet specifications. And while off-spec products can be rerun, the additional work needed increases the cost of the product. Here's what a wide-awake operator brings to the table: ✅ Focus: They stay alert and attentive, ensuring that every product meets specifications. ✅ Efficiency: They avoid the need for reruns, saving time and resources. ✅ Quality: They consistently produce a high-grade product. Remember, in plant operations, every moment counts. A moment's distraction can lead to increased costs and decreased quality. So, the next time you see an operator at work, remember - they're not just operating equipment. They're maintaining a constant state of alertness and focus, ensuring that every product is up to standard. 🔧 Never underestimate the value of a wide-awake operator. 📌 And if you're looking for more insights into the world of plant operations, 📤 Follow me for more posts like this.
