Insights on Jobtech Platforms in South Africa According to the recent landscape review by the Jobtech Alliance South Africa is leading the way in Jobtech platforms across Africa. Jobtech can be defined as the 'use of technology to enable, facilitate, or improve the productivity of people to access and deliver quality work.' As Harambee we are passionate about empowering youth and are therefore thrilled to see the impact that these platforms are making on youth employment. As of 2021, an estimated 3.9 million gig workers were active in South Africa, indicating significant potential for jobtech platforms to provide employment opportunities, especially for the youth. However, there are still significant barriers preventing workers from fully accessing these platforms. To address these challenges, the Jobtech Alliance has released a valuable report that outlines opportunities for jobtech platforms to enhance their functionalities and benefit the workers they engage. Here are 2 extreme ends of the building scenario. 1. A team of 50+ LinkedIn engineers working seriously on the "like" button all day. 2. A common Emeka with an idea but don't know how to start, no money and no resources. Now, LinkedIn surely has the resources to keep changing its "like" button and we as users will enjoy every revamp. But, the second scenario is a big concern. We love to see people, especially Africans to be able to build products from scratch. It would be life-changing for these "common Emekas" and will encourage the birth of more awesome products. So, what's the remedy to this predicament? Well, Today Africa of course! Today Africa interviews Africans, building in Africa which provides you with real-time case studies and offers you an opportunity to learn and grow. To watch other Africans we have interviewed, the links are in the comment. #todayafrica #africa #storytelling #africanstories #africaentrepreneurs

Helping your business in Africa 🌍 gain profit and time by finding you top 5% management candidates IN, not ON, the market | Executive Search
Celebrating Success Stories with JobnetAfrica "I was really happy with JobnetAfrica's responsiveness…I really enjoyed the whole onboarding process... I think JobnetAfrica took quite a bit of time to speak with me and other people in the organization, to understand the business and really get to the bottom of the job descriptions. I mean it’s one thing seeing a job description on paper. It’s another thing to figure out exactly what the role requires and what sort of profiles could be needed." - Justin Archer | Head of Sustainability | Sucafina Check out our testimonials here: https://lnkd.in/djQUYG-v #africajobs #jobsinafrica #executivesearchfirm #recruitmentfirm #recruitmentagency #africanbusiness #businessinafrica #executiverecruiter #opportunities #vacanciesinafrica #opportunitiesinafrica
