🏆Award-winning Entrepreneur| I help business founders to build their personal brands by writing strategic LinkedIn content | Digital Marketer | Tech Events Organizer & Public Speaker
It's been a while, LinkedIn family! Since we interacted in June, I've had one of the most eventful months, both as an Entrepreneur-in-Training at MEST Africa and as a matter of growth for me as a person. Howbeit, today's post will not highlight my top June events - like the Google event #IOExtendedAccra which I helped to organize and publicize, nor will I share learnings from my participation in Building Bytes's eventful #DemoFriday hosted last week Friday at MEST Africa - those posts will come later. As we mark the beginning of the rest of the year, from today July 1st, I will like to share 3 key reflections that have guided my first half of the year - a challenge you can join in as well. Questions for reflections: 1. What do I want to get the most of? 2. What do I want to try my hands on? 3. What do I want to leave behind or move forward from? I'll go first. 1. I've been able to maximize the mentorship that have been made available to me at MEST Africa. Mentorship has played a key role in my growth and I'm always grateful for the people who have mentored and keep mentoring me along the way. 2. I climbed the tallest peak in West Africa - The Afadjato, in the Volta Region of Ghana! From this experience, I understood the true meaning of the African Proverb "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together". 3. I'm leaving behind indecision. "Indecision is the greatest thief of opportunity" - Jim Rohn. I've made some of the toughest decisions in the first half of the year and when I look back, I am grateful to God for direction. Now the ball is in your court. 🤔 What have you learned from the first half of the year? 🤔 How will it impact the rest of the year? Happy reflecting! #akweleyabenaokai

My Cold Calling Journey with Emiratiyo Investment On September 23 and 24, 2024, I rolled up my sleeves and took part in a cold calling initiative at Emiratiyo Investment. It was an intense yet rewarding experience that really pushed me to grow both personally and professionally. First off, I want to give a huge shoutout to Rehan Algaari for giving me this opportunity. Your encouragement and guidance made a world of difference. Cold calling can be quite a challenge, and I felt the nerves kick in at first. But as I made each call, I found my rhythm. Every conversation taught me something new—about our clients, the industry, and even about myself. It was a chance to step out of my comfort zone and really engage with people. What I loved most was the sense of camaraderie among my teammates. Sharing tips, celebrating small wins, and supporting one another made the experience much more enjoyable. It reinforced how important teamwork is in achieving our goals. I’m excited to take the lessons I learned during this experience and apply them moving forward. Here’s to embracing challenges and growing together! #EmiratiyoInvestment #ColdCalling #Growth #Teamwork #Networking

Radio and TV Presenter. Voicepreneur. Events MC. Brands Ambassador. Marketing. I'm the girl for the job😉
10 years on, I still count 2014 as MY YEAR. This is not the point. I won the Miss Zambia pageant title exactly 10 days after graduating from Mulungushi University with my Bachelor's Degree. This isn't quite the point either. The point is that I found myself reflecting on the incredible power of timing and relationships in building networks. Back in 2015, I was set to represent Zambia at Miss World, but the financial backing promised by the government fell through (a story I will one day share). So my family and Pageant Director through sponsorships helped cover most of the costs, but we still needed as much help as possible. Sidebar: Beauty Pageant participation is EXPENSIVE. Through my then Manager; Coco, I met Hangwei. This connection led me to Mme Hailing, wife of the then Chinese Ambassador to Zambia, who generously supported my trip. Our friendship grew and we remained considerably close during their time in Zambia. Moreover, my friendship with Hangwei opened doors to a BBC feature and expanded my network significantly. One meeting led to another, creating a chain of connections that elevated my journey. Do you believe in the power of timing and relationships? I would love to hear or rather 'read' your thoughts 🙏🏾 Photo Cred: Lusaka Times. L- Hangwei, R- Ine (me) #timingandrelationships #buildingnetworks #growingandgrowth #flashbackfriday
