Almost 7 years after the discovery, at 3d.FAB platform, of the #Dynamic_Molding by Edwin-Joffrey COURTIAL and myself, it is time for a little retrospective: 2017 -> First experiment showing the extreme freeform capacity of what we called at the time "Powder assisted deposition", not knowing that what was happening beneath the powder was actually… molding. 2018 -> First patent application (WO2020109745). 2020 -> Creation of 3Deus Dynamics with Edwin-Joffrey COURTIAL, Julien BARTHES (and a team of enthusiastic early investors). 2022 -> First publication about #Dynamic_Molding in Additive Manufacturing (https://lnkd.in/dFgKyV-q). 2023 -> The European Innovation Council agrees for an EIC Accelerator 2.5M€ grant for the #Dynamic_Molding industrial developments in healthcare applications. 2024 -> 3Deus Dynamics extends its influence on the #3Dprinting world by licencing #Dynamic_Molding to La Patisserie Numerique - The Digital Patisserie, driving pastries 3D printing to the next level (showcased at #qvema). 3Deus Dynamics is now full speed toward the industrial use of #Dynamic_Molding, fuelled with the perfect team in a 2500m², ISO13485 industrial environment. After a few months break I finally picked up and finished off the last couple of chapters of “The Coming Wave” by Mustafa Suleyman. This is a wonderfully balanced account of the likely effect of #AI and #biotech on our world in the near future. Amidst the stark warnings of future dystopia there are also significant grounds for hope, and is well worth a read. I was especially interested in the author’s thoughts on how global supply chains could evolve too. Compare current supply chains, beset with fragility, inflexibility and prone to collapse for multiple reasons, to those of the near future where 3D printing might facilitate local production instead of sourcing from overseas; where new synthetic materials improve the durability and efficiency of products; where everything is optimised to reduce waste, prevent overproduction and minimize environmental impact; where the gap between corporations and consumers are reduced…. And all overseen by AI and its accompanying technology…. And all within the next 20 years… Isn’t #logistics exciting?
