Did you know that we have a separate organization that is classified as a Charitable Organization with the IRS? The PSTC Foundation (or PSTCEDU Foundation) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that was created to raise funds and provide equipment to area High School students who want to start off a career in Public Safety by taking Firefighting and EMS courses. What does this mean? It means that any monetary donations of $250 or more and/or physical items that are valued at $250 or more that are given to us qualify as a Tax Deductible contribution to a Charitable Organization and can be used as a deduction on a business or individual tax return. Many places claim to be a charitable organization, but are neither a legal business entity nor a qualified charitable organization through the IRS. We hope those groups are giving you donations where they say they are, but without being legal, who really knows. You can be assured that any donation for the Foundation is recorded in accordance with the terms from the IRS, and all contributions are going exactly where we say they are for our youth programs.
