Automation is no longer just a buzz word. If your thinking about implementing automation in your material handling process here are some things to think about: 1: Your Facility - Although AGVs are adaptable, there are still physical requirements that go along with automated vehicles. If your building a new facility, engage an AGV company in your planing process to avoid punch points and traffic issues. 2: Your Pallets - AGVs love consistency. Are your pallets all the same? Are they in great condition? If not don’t fret, you may just need to introduce a partner pallet to your system. 3: Your Racking - AGVs are precise and your racking needs to be as well. Choosing the right racking installer is critical to avoid protencial problems. 4: Your Floor - I know your floors look flat, but how flat are they? If your building a new facility make sure to explore what F-min requirements will need to be met. In an existing facility, your floor may need to adjusted.

Moving the future - Mobile Robots are my passion VP Sales Mobile Robots @Jungheinrich

Flexible and scalable solution with mobile robots from Jungheinrich AG. At our customer ProDrive in the netherlands we implemented an automated system with 20 mobile robots. Two storage areas operated by an AutoVNA solution are feeded by an under load system powered by our arculee S (made by arculus – a Jungheinrich company). The arculee S are connecting the storage areas with the order picking area. A solution well prepared for the future - flexible in layout changes and scalable in performance. #jungheinrich #agv #amr #automatedsystem #mobilerobots
