Leesman continues to refine its research and thesis - this is well worth the read. Pride of place and enjoying where you work is playing out in the bifurcation of office assets, in all global cities. High occupancy and high rents pervade in high quality, well located assets close to transit hubs. It is clear to me that if you are proud of your workplace and how it adapts to your working requirements (collaborative, focused work, communal spaces, amenities) you will be in a position to do your best work. If you enjoy your workplace, you do better work, do better work and you build a better business. Simple. It must not be forgotten the key to all of this is your company culture - people feed off of working with great people in person (for most of the work week). Space takes you only so far. Unlock a great culture and great space and you are virtually unstoppable.
