I was trying last night to hire a freelancer from Upwork; she was actually top-rated plus or something, like the elite freelancers on the platform, but after discussing the project with her, I realized something. The freelancers care little to nothing about the project's success. They don't want to waste time thinking about innovative ways to approach the problem and find solutions; they just look at the best way to get them as much money as possible. As a part-time freelancer myself, I understand how they feel. As some may say, that's just business 💼,. but it felt soo cold when I felt that from the other side..😂   But you know, when you hire someone properly, whatever you pay as a salary has little to no significance to their contribution to you. They are grateful to you for giving them a chance, and they always try to do their best. They don't work solely for money; they work because they find purpose in it. Or they enjoy what they are doing. Well, you need to have a good work environment for this, I suppose.    I know it doesn't work like this everywhere.    But this kind of makes me feel like the hassle of hiring is all worth it!!!    It's easier to work with a freelancer, but it's really hard to build a personal connection there, and that relationship ends with that project. But with full-time staff, that relationship lasts for a bigger purpose: to make the company more successful.    You know, I have made friends with clients through freelancing but also lost them when they didn't pay as promised.    But at 42 Souls, after a couple of very tough recruitment cycles, I finally found an awesome buddy, Yadukrishnan PB who not only survived our early crisis environment while others had to resign or be fired but also made himself grow constantly to meet the ever-evolving needs of our company.   I hope all of you guys have someone awesome like that on your team. It makes working every day much more enjoyable 😉
