Here are a few good #nonprofitjobs boards on Job Search Database: 80,000 Hours - Based on the idea that you only have 80K hours in your career 😵💫😵💫😵💫 so you might as well do something useful with them. Idealist.org - Has been a go-to for nonprofits for years and one that is in my personal job search rotation. Devex - Focuses on development jobs-- international, social, agricultural... Tech Nonprofit Job Board by Fast Forward - Continue your career in tech while jumping to a nonprofit. Trail Skills Project by American Trails - Workforce development for the community of trail professionals. Mac's List - This Portland/NW job board isn't limited to nonprofits, but it has an especially good collection of nonprofit jobs if you're in Oregon or Washington. Three months ago today, I left what I thought would be a dream job -one I would be at for 7 years, not 7 months. I could spend time being sad or angry, but that gets me nowhere. Complaining about things, especially things of my choice, isn't a good use of my time. I could also say that I did not think I would still be looking for a role, but history has told me that I could very well be looking for my next role for a bit longer. I knew what I was "signing up" for when I decided to walk away. So, while I continue to apply, interview, complete take-home assignments, etc I will remain proactive in my search. That proactive mindset means a bit of self-promotion and sharing some of my career highlights and experiences. 💡 25 years of comprehensive development experience - ten years of foundation relations, 15 years of individual giving (both annual fund and major gifts including high-net-worth-individual donors). 💡 Ten years of leading teams of up to eight individuals and four years of providing executive-level support and managing up to C-suite executives. 💡 Principle team member leading the closure of gifts in 6-8 figure range (no gift is closed alone at this range). 💡 Six years of experience raising funds for sister organizations (a 501c3 and 501c4) and experience with PAC fundraising during election cycles. 🍭 Sweet spot for building relationships while being an operational architect and strategic thinker. I thrive leading teams, building processes, and aligning priorities. 💡 Managed portfolios of $28M in lifetime giving, served on teams raising over $45M annually (excluding higher ed experience), and love finding creative, personalized, and innovative ways to connect donor passions with societal impact. I am your next hire if you are looking for someone with diverse experience. I am based in Indianapolis and cannot relocate, so the role must be Indy-based or remote. I am passionate about youth development, K-12 education, career pathways, workforce development, youth justice, social justice, progressive causes, health, etc. Higher education is the one area I am not looking to head back to. I love my higher ed friends, but it is not where I am looking to land, and I want to be somewhere for 5-10 years.
