Progress towards full adoption of digitisation to drive higher productivity in the infrastructure sector is fragmented. New Zealand has developed individual digital solutions capable of scaling nationally, but ingrained and archaic funding and procurement practices and a lack of collaboration between the public and private sectors make accessing these solutions difficult. Progress to address these issues has been siloed by a lack of coordinated governance and vision for greater scale. This event, in partnership with WSP in New Zealand, provides an opportunity for the sector to come together to discuss the way forward. Our panel will include John Hemi (Te Waihanga, New Zealand Infrastructure Commission), Kerri Gray (WSP) and Thomas Hyde (Beca). The discussion will focus on the potential for a national digital twin and the work underway to unlock the value of the data which underpins these solutions.
