I hope this gets to the executive team Bill Estes Automotive.
My wife and girls were just involved in a car accident last week, our vehicle was totaled and we have been looking for another Explorer that is suitable to our needs. Guess what?
We found one at Bill Estes Brownsburg. My wife spoke to @steven angle and @matt belano (Sales Mgr) yesterday in person and on the phone, they just got a trade in that fits our needs God is Good and exact match. They both told us that the 2017 Ford Explorer vehicle is currently getting cleaned up, they need to get pictures taken and uploaded, so no need to come in right now but they will call us immediately once it is ready!! Awesome news..
Well, apparently someone else was able to come in, look at it, make a deal, and finance it yesterday. So to say we are upset and the unsettling experience is an understatement. We have purchased numerous vehicles in Brownsburg, but I guess our loyalty and recommendations do not matter anymore, I guess customer commitment and satisfaction are no longer at Bill Estes Brownsburg.

Advance Auto Parts
2001 I led a team to Australia inorder to bid for Repco Auto Parts
The company had 400 stores in both Australia and New Zealand. They were the AutoZone of Asia similar look and phylosophy.
The parent company Dunlop Pacific a conglomerate was in the process of divesting itself of several divisions.
Our team consisted of 10 people lawyers, accountants, automotive people, logistics, personal manager of Johnny Rivers etc.
We were in Melbourne Australia for 10 days going through the books, stores and warehouse came up empty handed the other bidders were from New Zealand, and Australia.
The company had twice as many assets versus the eventual selling price.
The idea was to purchase the company buy up the competition within its border and then expand up the asian península ending up in China by 2023
Auto car sales in China are 2.6x what the sales are in the USA
around 26.5 million car sales annually.
The core 400+ stores eventually could have been 10,000+ stores by 2022.
Repco in the mean time was acquired twice and finally by Genuine Parts company.
Had i still been with Advance Auto I would have acquired the company and grew it into the 10,000 foreign chain and 5,000 domestic stores
it was just Not to be.....

Alliance Rubber Company
Arthur Taubman the founder of Advance Stores founded Alliance rubber company in 1956 to produce tires in Israel.
Thus giving much needed work for jews fleeing for their lives. At its heights it employeed 2,000 people or 8,000 families members.
Fast forward he was one of the founders of TBC corp Tire and Battery corp based in Memphis Tn
They distrubuted Cordavan tires produced from the factory in Israel its biggest two customers were Grand Auto and Advance Stores many smaller ones throughout the USA.
As the retailers grew they no longer needed a buying group help.
First i took batteries 119,000 units
Second i took shocks away( Monroe)
Third i discontinued Tires
Fourth I closed the service bays
Marvin Bruce the president of TBC came over from Memphis met with me about the grave error a young man like me was making. He even offered me shares of the company.I knew at that point i was on the right track.
Mr Bruce told me i would be out of a job within a week boy was he wrong.
I was fundamentaly changing the structure of what was to become Advance Auto Parts Not Advance Stores co Inc
When i left Advance it was bigger than TBC & we were
number 1 in battery sales in America with 6,000,000 unit sales per year.Larger than Sears who in the 60's and 70's

This is a picture of my grandfather and myself from this weekend that got captured… disregard the crocs and gut, I had just ate some killer steak fajitas 😂
But my pawpaw has bought the same Chevy truck from the same dealership for the last 40+ years. Every couple years he goes and trades in for a newer model.
He never goes and looks anywhere else for better pricing or to try to get a better deal, he goes to Lynn Layton Chevrolet Service in Decatur, AL because of the relationship.
Lynn Layton took care of my grandpa years ago when he was working in the GM factory and ever since then my grandfather won’t buy a vehicle from anyone else.
So this weekend when I was in town he was telling me about going and getting new tires from them and it made me think about how they got a lifetime customer but how??
They simply created a relationship that was reliable, easy, and consistent!
I want our customers at RJ Young to be lifelong customers, not just because of pricing but because of relationships! I want them to know we have their back and the best interest of their business!
We aren’t perfect but we strive to be reliable, easy to work with, and consistent day in and out!
Our company culture is based on 5 key things:
- 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲
- 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞
- 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲
- 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐲
- 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞

Recently, we were asked if Gill Automotive Group only works with smaller dealers. Our response is simple: our perceived size and position is the only difference between us and the "major" players in the M&A arena. In the past nine years, we have represented sellers with revenues ranging from $50 million to $500 million and 5 rooftops, successfully selling listings to prime buyers in the market.
At Gill Automotive Group, we believe that size only matters if it affects our ability to deliver in a professional and timely manner. Our track record speaks for itself. Our success lies in our ability to confidentially deliver qualified buyers on terms agreeable to the seller.
When choosing a strategic partner in selling your dealership(s), consider Gill Automotive Group. While we may not have the tallest building or the most CPAs, we deliver where it counts the most - selling your dealership(s).
Small but mighty! Give us a shot. You will discover that there is a New Sheriff in town! For more information, call or email Andy Gill at 678-232-1016 or andy@gillauto.com.

■ Amari Supercars sees profits dip as income from luxury vehicle sales takes a slide!
- Amari Supercars publishes the latest set of annual accounts
- Documents show dips in pre-tax profit and turnover
- Bosses insist outfit is still ‘positively growing’
Jack Williams, Car Dealer Magazin
■ Amari Supercars saw its profits take a slight dip last year amid a fall in income from the sale of luxury vehicles.
Accounts published via Companies House show that the high-end retailer made a pre-tax profit of £1.67m in the 12 months to December 31, 2023.
The figure is 15% down on 2022’s profit before tax figure of £1.97m, which was itself well down on 2021, when the firm made £2.45m.
Turnover also took a small hit compared to last year’s accounts, with Amari raking in £31.44m compared to £31.97m last time out.
In the accounts, boss Saba Syed admitted that takings from motor vehicle sales fell from £31.61m to £30.68m.
Profit margin for the year also declined to 6.87%, from 7.46%, following a wider trend across the automotive industry, which saw margins fall across the board last year.
Car Dealer recently published a special feature on just why it is that dealers are not making as much money as they once were, with several experts pointing to shrinking margins as a major factor.
When it came to staff numbers, 2023 saw Amari bulk up its workforce from 11 to 14, with wages and salaries totalling £270,114.
Despite the falls in profit and turnover, directors remunerations rose by 26% to £11,908.
Reacting to the results, Syed said: ‘The company ethos is simple, Amari Lifestyle Limited, trading as Amari Supercars, buy the best cars and sell them to the best buyers utilising years of experience which allow us to offer only the exceptional examples.
‘The business model is unique in that the company aim to buy its stock unlike competitors who predominantly sale or return vehicles.
‘The demand for cars is greater than ever, this is where the company demonstrates its strength and buying power over other dealerships who do not have the wealth of knowledge or experience that is offered at Amari Super cars coupled with excellent buying power not reliant on external funding.’
She added: ‘Motor vehicle sales have reduced from £31.61m to £30.68m, as compared to previous year and the operating profit margin during the year is 6.87%.
‘This demonstrates that whilst the company is positively growing it is not at the expense of forfeiting profit.
‘The company also utilises internal reporting capturing trends and profit margins of specific marques and models, each unit of stock is monitored by cost reports which allow informed decisions to be made about stock levels of each model.’
