April is Autism Acceptance Month, a time to celebrate the neurodivergent community's diverse experiences and continue making progress on building a truly diverse and inclusive workforce.   Autism, or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), is an increasingly prevalent developmental disorder that affects the way a person perceives and communicates with the world, often resulting in challenges with social interactions and information processing. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, autism affects an estimated 1 in 44 children in the United States today.   These unique challenges can present themselves in various ways in the workplace.
