How to show that you're a problem solver in an interview ✨ Last week we shared questions you could be asked in an interview to test your problem-solving skills. As experts in business support roles within private equity and alternative investments, here are our ideas for how you should respond 👇 1. Tell me about a situation where you took the initiative to resolve a work-related challenge without seeking managerial input. What approach did you follow, and what were the outcomes? 👉 This question assesses your ability to independently address work-related issues. Employers want to understand if you can take initiative and solve problems without relying solely on managerial guidance. 2. Share an instance when you proactively identified and rectified a potential problem before it escalated. How did you go about it, and what were the results? 👉 Employers ask this question to evaluate your core skills such as problem-solving and prevention skills. They want to know if you can anticipate issues and take action to mitigate them before they become significant problems. 3. Share an example where you used intuition or prior experience to anticipate and effectively address a problem. 👉 By asking this question, employers can assess your ability to leverage intuition and past experiences for problem-solving. They want to know if you can apply lessons learned to make informed decisions. 4. Reflect on a time when you encountered efficiency challenges in your role. How did you overcome these obstacles to enhance your job performance? 👉 By asking this question, employers are able to evaluate your adaptability and ability to improve efficiency. They want to understand how you tackle challenges that hinder job performance and whether you can find effective solutions. 5. Describe a challenging work situation that required critical thinking and decision-making under pressure. How did you handle it? 👉 This question assesses your ability to think and make decisions under pressure. Employers want to know if you can effectively handle high-stress situations and manage crisis scenarios. 👀 Follow us on Instagram to see our weekly candidate top tips - https://lnkd.in/eeU9WZ68

Professional Resume Writer ~ Yelp - 4.8★ Rating (300+ Reviews) Google 5.0★ rating (80+ Reviews) LI Profiles ~ Custom Resumes ~ Job Search Strategies ~ Career Transitions ~ Career Assessment ~ No “AI” Ever Used
Ghost Posting To begin, I would like to thank a long standing client Mary M. for this information! ++++++++++++++++++++++ Amid complex hiring processes, a shadow is spreading in the U.S. business world. Companies are using fake online job openings to project an image of growth, keep existing employees motivated, and cultivate a pool of possible future candidates with no intention of hiring, according to research. The practice is commonly known as “ghost posting,” and it accounts for 43 percent of online job openings across multiple industries. A Clarify Capital survey of more than 1,000 hiring managers showed that, beyond fake growth metrics and productivity drivers, 1/3 of professionals claimed that they used ghost posts to placate overworked employees. The phenomenon has caused universal frustration on both the applicant and hiring sides. On average, it can take up to eight weeks for a job seeker to receive an offer after submitting an application online, according to job listing site Indeed. The process often includes resume tailoring, lengthy applications, and multiple rounds of interviews. That means applicants are wasting hours trying to get hired by companies that are not actually looking. JUST AWFUL!!!!! ++++++++++++++++++++ Looking for a new career position or guidance about best practices for job search, including how to handle ATS? More Ghost Posting: How to tell if a job posting is a ghost? Authentic job postings usually include details about the qualifications and responsibilities of the role. If a job description is vague, it's usually a red flag. Many ghost jobs don't even include a position description. Instead, they highlight a long list of perks to encourage candidates to apply. A recent study confirms this growing trend. In a survey of over 1,000 hiring managers, 68% admitted keeping job postings active for more than 30 days. In addition, one in 10 respondents has had a job opening for more than six months. When asked why they aren’t actively trying to fill these roles, the top three reasons included: Wanting to be open to new talent Keeping current employees motivated Giving the impression that the company is growing ++++++++++++++++++++ Looking for a new career position or guidance about best practices for job search, including how to handle ATS? "Your feed doesn't matter, quit obsessing over it. Just post whatever you need to post". A comment along these lines is one I have been seeing quite a bit of online. I agree, your feed shouldn't be an obsession. However, your feed should be intentional. In today's world, your social media feed is your company's first impression. As I am sure you know, a good first impression is crucial in many aspects of life. From a marketing standpoint, your social media feed is what potential followers see first. Which is why it so important for it to look clean and professional. How can you expect a follow from someone if you are unwilling to invest in a good first impression? If I showed up to a job interview in a shorts and a tee, I can almost guarantee I wouldn't get the job. Invest in your company's social media. It's not only worth it, but it is essential in today's world. View the graphic below as an example. Which account are you more likely to follow? #socialmedia #marketing #strategy #digitalmarketing
