Do you experience guilt as a working mom? Same.
While you might believe the guilt is there because you indeed ARE a "bad mom", I'm here to tell you the real reason.
- Society and gender norms have instilled unrealistic expectations in you.
- How your parents raised you influences what you believe and how you behave
It looks like this:
- Not being able to ask for help
- Feeling bad about yourself because you make more frozen meals during the week compared to home cooked meals
- Putting yourself last "for the sake of the family"
- Not engaging in "pausing moments" because you feel you need to move onto the next task to "get it all done"
