There has been a lot of buzz over the MacKenzie Scott and Yield Giving donations this week and rightly so. But all I can think about is HOW are those non-profits going to prepare themselves for that level of growth? ❓What systems and processes will enable them to deliver more impact? ❓How will they deliver on more sustainable and supportive commitments to their own people and teams? ❓How will they maintain momentum or solidify their new position, once the donation is used? Not every organization gets a transformative gift. But lots of small nonprofits and startups are tackling unanticipated growth. And, if you don't strengthen your foundation first, you only increase your risk to fall. Your people and teams are everything. Make sure they're resourced, clear, and thriving.
