If you aren't eligible or don't want to participate, please consider sharing it with others who might be! We invite you to participate in a study titled, “A Qualitative Exploration of Menopause in the Workplace.” This research is being conducted by Dr. Sarah Willey, Dr. Matthew Aplin-Houtz, and Dr. Ekin Pellegrini at the University of Missouri- Saint Louis. We are looking for people who meet this criteria: US-based cisgender women age 35+ who are currently experiencing menopause symptoms or have previously and who are currently in the workforce or have been in the workforce within the past five years. The primary purpose of this study is to understand how women experience menopause symptoms and how these impact their experience at work and in their careers. Your firsthand experiences at your workplace will be useful to the study of how menopause affects women’s careers and the businesses they work for. Any knowledge acquired about your experience will likely be helpful for other women who are experiencing or will experience menopause during their careers. Additionally, we believe your insight will aid in the development of scholarly theory tremendously. Participation in this research is expected to take approximately 30-60 minutes of your time, the interviews will be conducted virtually through Zoom. Results of the study are confidential, and participation in this study is completely voluntary. If you would like to participate in this study, please respond to this email with your available dates/times to arrange the virtual meeting. Also, please read the consent form attached to this email. We will ask for verbal consent during the interview. Today makes it official with the publishing of #HUD Notice H 2024-09: The deadline for full compliance with Sections 102 and 104 of HOTMA has been extended to July 1, 2025. The Office of Multifamily Housing Programs will be releasing FAQs soon to address questions already submitted to HUD. If you did not or were unable to submit your feedback, you are welcome to share and I will take note for our efforts to advance property roi . #HOTMA #MFH #HousingCompliance

The pandemic abruptly shifted all of the rich, in-office interactions to virtual settings. The casual sidebar chats, the monitoring and gossiping, the daily ups-and-downs with customers and bosses, all of these communications that happen around the 'water cooler', suddenly required scheduled meetings and agendas. A lack of informality has had a significant impact on workplace cultures, yet we see so many organizations that create rigid processes with the aim of improving performance. Those that mastered virtual work are the ones that bring the informality of the 'water cooler' with them. The lesson is to not underestimate the importance of informality in the workplace if you are to build a strong culture. #culture #workplaceculture #hr #informality

It's a wrap for the Engaged Management Scholarship conference in beautiful Henley-on-Thames England! 🇬🇧 This event convenes hundreds of the highest levels of business academic professionals in the world to serve a critical function - disseminate the research and its body of knowledge for advancing applied scholarship in the real world. 👊 Everyday I'm utilizing cutting edge human resources, talent development, and business tactics as a practitioner, but at #EMS2024 I was on the other side, presenting the findings of my own research in leadership communication. I am indebted to the mentorship and help of so many, especially at University of Missouri St. Louis College of Business Administration 🇺🇸 and I wish I could list every name here.
