The work that we are doing in oncology at Advanced Clinical continues to inspire me. Based on statistics, we know that early detection of breast cancer results in better outcomes. Today is National Mammography Day and I encourage you to check-in with yourself: When was the last time you had a scan? It’s recommended that women should get a mammogram every two years starting at age 40 if at low risk – even sooner if at high risk. I encourage you to schedule your next (or first) appointment! Empowered women empower women!  🙌🏼 A few weeks ago, several of us from @Advanced Clinical went to the #HBAAC24 in Toronto, CA. What an inspiring event filled with thousands of professionals across the globe who are joined together to advance women in the business of healthcare. Research from Leadership Circle shows that when women lead, business results are stronger. Other programs like Girl Up, United Nations Foundation and AdaMarie show that organizations are actively working to create environments where girls and young women can thrive earlier, from increased funding opportunities to mentorship programs. These changes are not only setting our daughters and granddaughters up for success but also shaping a future where they can confidently lead and innovate. As we round out September, I want to raise awareness of Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. Ovarian cancer is a devastating diagnosis and today there are no cures. We need more research and clinical development in this specific area of cancer that takes the life of moms and grandmothers across the globe leaving family units shattered. 1.1% of women will be diagnosed with ovarian cancer at some point in their life, according to the National Cancer Institute(NCI). This year alone, approximately 19,680 women in the United States will receive a diagnosis. While we can’t put an end to cancer today, the work that we do at Advanced Clinical helps our loved ones receive treatment and support they need to deal with this difficult diagnosis. 🎗️ And one day soon, we will find a cure!
