🎁Therapy is the gift that keeps on giving! In a world where we often prioritize so much over our mental health, investing in time to understand ourselves, heal, and grow is THE ultimate act of self-care. As a therapist and speaker, I see the profound impact that consistent, intentional work can have on someone’s life. Therapy isn’t just for when things feel broken—it’s for building resilience, self-awareness, and thriving in ways you never thought possible. So this holiday season, consider giving yourself or someone you love the gift of growth, balance, reflection, and support. Whether it’s therapy, bringing a speaker to your group, or simply taking intentional time for yourself, it’s a gift that has lasting impact. Progress isn’t always easy to see. Sometimes, the steps feel too small or the journey too long. But each small victory—every moment you chose resilience over giving up, compassion over criticism, and healing over holding on—is worth celebrating. 💫 Take a moment to look back, recognize how far you've come, and celebrate even the small milestones along your mental health journey. It’s these little moments that build our strength and bring us closer to the life we envision. 🌱💖 #GrowthMindset #DrLaura #MentalHealthJourney #CelebrateProgress #MindfulLiving #drlauracounseling #mentalhealthmatters #counseling #therapy

This #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek is all about moving for your mental health. Stacey, who has attended to many of our Dosh Days, starts her seminars by getting you up and moving your body! Stacey told us: "Emotion is energy in motion. Moving your body may change how you feel. Put on some positive music, go for a walk and it will guarantee you will feel 100% better than before you moved.” 🔗 Wellbeing is one of our ten commitments for 2024/25, you can read the other nine here: https://loom.ly/oe_4TOA

As therapists, we hold space for so much in our sessions and it’s understandable to feel overwhelmed by the world outside. It’s okay to set boundaries with what you consume, especially when things feel heavy. Prioritizing your mental health doesn’t make your care or support any less meaningful. It's important to remember that your empathy has limits and it’s okay to acknowledge when you need a break. Rest and self-care are essential to sustaining the work we do. Whether it’s limiting media intake, leaning on fellow therapists or setting firm boundaries to protect your well-being, know that you’re not alone in this. Remember to be kind to yourself and give yourself permission to step back when needed. By taking care of ourselves, we ensure that we can continue to care for others effectively. We’re all in this together, taking it one step at a time. ❤️ #TherapistSupport #MentalHealthMatters #TherapistWellbeing #TherapistLife #TherapistBoundaries #SelfCareForTherapists #MentalHealthAwareness #TherapistCommunity #EmpathyInTherapy #TherapistSelfCare #BurnoutPrevention #TherapistResilience #MentalHealthProfessionals #TherapistMentalHealth #compassionatecare

Mental Health Awareness Week | For many of us, focusing on the positive things in life is a lot harder than dwelling on the negatives. Gratitude journaling is a quick and easy self-help technique that trains the mind to think more about the things (big or small) we’re grateful for. The best part is that you can start and finish journaling in two minutes, and there’s no right or wrong way to do it. Find out more about the benefits of gratitude journaling and how to get started, below. https://lnkd.in/e6ykPy2C #mentalhealthawareness #gratitude #journaling #nuffieldhealth
