Sales is a lot like bodybuilding. You set a goal, start off small, and by repetition consistency, and putting in the work, you make the gains you need to execute the goal, close the sale, or answer the problem the customer has. No wonder I love this field so much! #sales #meddevice #bodybuilding #goalsetting #executer

🏋️♂️ "Everybody wants to be a bodybuilder, but nobody wants to lift no heavy-ass weights." - Ronnie Coleman These words hold true in many aspects of life, especially in sales. Everyone desires the success at the end, but only a few are willing to put in the gritty work: 🚪 Open the doors. 📞 Pick up the phone. 💼 Grind the follow-up. 📧 Send endless emails. 🤝 Network relentlessly. Sales aren't just about golf and handshakes; it's about the hard work behind the scenes. The sale happens because the hard work happened. Let's embrace the grind! 💪 #Sales #HardWork #SuccessMindset

Fitness is a non-negotiable, especially for salespeople. That's why I have joined Jc Pollard and Kyle Willis at 8STR8 to learn from their sales/wellness community and provide value where I can. I'm not sure if others would agree, but after a long day of selling, a quick lift at the gym (and maybe some pre-workout) is all I need to feel re-energized and get back after it. Who's going to carry the boats and the logs? (If you know, you know) #sales #fitness

“One more rep” Is a phrase that the higher I’ve gone with sports, the less it’s been said in the gym But in sales, “one more call” comes with the complete opposite school of thought Lifting weights for athletes is not a period of boosting one’s ego It’s for injury prevention and maximising your effectiveness in your sport That one extra rep could lead to an injury that would only have been made possible simply because you wanted to push that extra rep for ego purposes For why? For who? “Follow the program, stick to the script” is what my gym coaches always say to me But that one extra call in sales is crucial, after a terrible day, clients aren’t picking up, that extra call could bring you closer to target So I guess no more extra reps but, when it comes to work, one extra call will never hurt😈 Anyone else been told not to push those extra reps outside of the program? #discipline #program #script #trustheprocess

In the image below, the shorter club is called a 4-Iron and the “taller” club is the Driver. When I started playing golf, all I wanted to do was hit the ball with the Driver. And I got good at it. But you see it’s so easy to think you’ve got golf on lock just because you can hit the driver over 200m. Until you have to play with an iron and you find that you can’t even hit one good shot. Then you hate playing with irons and only want to practice your driver. The problem with that is when you get to the course, you need to be able to play with all kinds of clubs for all kinds of shots. Isn’t that what we do in business as well? You love doing the admin but hate selling, so all you do is admin. Here’s the problem: sales are crucial because they generate revenue. Without focusing on sales, even the best administrative processes can’t sustain the business. To succeed in golf, you need to master all the clubs in your bag. To succeed in business, you need to embrace every part of the process, especially the ones that challenge you. What are the "irons" in your business that you need to practice more?

Go to market builder, sales nerd and coach. Currently using all of my talents to help real estate owners, operators, and occupiers lower energy costs, increase operational efficiency and decarbonize their portfolios.
Sales professionals can learn a lot from athletes...Jalen Brunson's from the New York Knicks statement after losing game seven really resonated with me (even as a Celtics fan): "I go into the summer every year looking back on how I could be better as a player, to be the most complete player I can be...The most important thing that I need to do is to continue to just strive for perfection, just strive for perfection, and knowing that I'm never going to get there." As a sales person, whether you are just starting your career, you lead a huge team, and everything in between, the message here is simple: you are never done developing and if you want to be #elite you have to keep working to get better. You will never be perfect but you can chase perfection and get better every. single. day. Things you can focus on getting better at: -discovery -follow up -mirroring/labeling -negotiating -presentations -researching -writing .... #development #hardwork #practice #masterofthecraft #getgoodatgettinggreat
