QUIZ TIME: which member of team Sweeply grew up in a bed and breakfast? Answer: COO and Co-Founder Erlendur Steinn Gudnason! He describes his journey to where he is today as beginning at his family’s Copenhagen B&B, which gave him a deep appreciation for the experience of the hospitality worker as well as the guest. In my life, I have experienced that I can go alone, very fast, and have a lot of challenges. That has worked but only for a while 😎. What I found best for myself doing the same things together with the team I can go multiple times longer distances. Because in doing so I have 1+1=3 synergy. It is fun to surround yourself with great, educated people. Sometimes it's hard to recognize, but a kick is needed to start moving. Here's what we found out: 1️⃣ Stay Focused: When we're competing, we pay more attention and try harder. This helps us do better in both the competition and our regular work. 2️⃣ Be Friends: Even though we're competing, we still support each other. Cheering for our teammates and celebrating their wins makes us feel like a stronger team. 3️⃣ Learn and Grow: Competition pushes us to do our best, even when it's tough. One of the reasons my Fairies value being part of the team is because of our commitment to quality and attention to detail. However, we totally understand that mistakes happen and our newbies also need time to find their feet and be shown how to get things right. 🌱💼 I've experienced some exceptional environments in the past, where feedback was managed positively, and I've also experienced ones where it predominantly focused on mistakes or what not to do. And so I understand how anxiety-provoking and demotivating it can be over time.
