Jafurah means 'river' in Arabic. The river we're talking about is of a different kind: the Jafurah unconventional gas field is the largest liquid-rich shale gas field in the Middle East. Liquid-rich means it's rich in condensates and natural gas liquids. Located near the coast in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, the 170km long and 100km wide Jafurah field is a vast, remote, undeveloped area in the desert. At least for now, with the first phase of the development of the project underway. By 2035, when all phases are due to be completed, this will have changed dramatically. Jafurah is KAEFER Saudi Arabia Co's second mega-project in Saudi Arabia after the Covid pandemic. Rahul Sakhare is KAEFER's project manager and has overcome one challenge after another... ⛰️ Dive into the latest #KWERTStories and enjoy reading! ✨ https://lnkd.in/ejVQV-Wr #NGL #JafurahProject #KAEFERTeam #CountOnUs

Ismarullizam and I were having a discussion about how to help operators with their water-challenges, and he threw me a curve ball asking, "If you had a magic wand, what would be your wish for technology?" 10 to 1: that is the 'Water to Oil' production ratio average globally from oil reservoirs (and this is a humble figure). Energy security, affordability (+) reduced emissions matter immensely. We can do exponentially better within our industry and yield quantifiable results instantly by applying proven tech within existing wells to manage the un-wanted water, un-certainty and maximize net-oil production. Helping businesses to connect with best in industry professionals in the energy and renewables sectors #recruitment #renewables #energy
Wood Group has completed the first phase of engineering work on what is expected to be the world's largest carbon capture and sequestration hub. The oilfield services business is a major contractor on Aramco's Accelerated Carbon Capture and Sequestration (ACCS) project near Jubail, Saudi Arabia. It has designed the greenfield dehydration, compression facilities and a major pipeline network. By 2027, Aramaco wants the pipelines to transport 9 million tonnes of emissions per annum from its gas plant facilities and from third-party emitters before sequestering them within onshore geological storage. The state-owned energy giant, one of the most valuable publicly-traded companies, is seeking to store up to 14 million tonnes annually of CO2 equivalent by 2035. Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) has made a groundbreaking discovery of light oil and gas in the offshore Al-Nokhatha field, located east of Kuwait’s Failaka Island. Covering an estimated area of 96km², this discovery marks a major milestone in Kuwait’s marine hydrocarbon exploration efforts. KOC's preliminary reserve estimates suggest around 2.1 billion barrels of light oil and 5.1 trillion cubic feet of gas, equating to approximately 3.2 billion barrels of oil equivalent. Currently, the Al-Nokhatha well is producing 2,800 barrels of light oil and 7 million cubic feet of associated gas daily. This discovery holds significant potential for further resource enhancement. Stay tuned for more updates as KOC continues to explore the vast potential of the Al-Nokhatha field! #KuwaitOil #EnergyDiscovery #OilAndGas #KOC #AlNokhatha #EnergyConsultants #OilAndGasConsultants #PetroleumConsultants #DrillingConsultants #OilAndGasConsultingFirms #OilAndGasProjectManagementServices #OilAndGasStaffing #OilfieldStaffingAgency #Oil

“Maximising Value with Minimal Emissions”. PDO focused on this during OPES OMAN. In addition, ‘Increasing Production Capacity & Reducing Emissions’. We were excited to participate at OPES and share the great work performed with PDO over the past several years, making notable achievements, supporting PDO’s directives. By applying our AICV reservoir management technology, we supported: 50-200% Increased Oil 70% Reduction of CO2 Emissions 50-90% Reduction of Water/Gas This was achieved by close collaboration from PDO + our InflowControl teams locally in Muscat and abroad. We continue to work diligently, supporting Oman stakeholders in their journey towards a net-zero economy along with ‘profitable, low-cost hydrocarbon production’. #LowerCarbonOil #MoreOilLessEmissions - Petroleum Development Oman - Energy Development Oman - Shell -TotalEnergies -OQ - Oxy -Daleel Petroleum LLC - ARA Petroleum LLC - SPE Oman Section -SPE Oman Young Professionals Section -SPE Northern Emirates Section - SPE Abu Dhabi Section Ahmed Ali Yasir Ahmed

Exciting developments in Saudi Arabia's energy sector! Recent discoveries at the Jafurah field, owned by Aramco, have significantly boosted the country's natural gas reserves. With approximately 15 trillion cubic feet of gas and two billion barrels of condensate uncovered, Jafurah's total estimated resources now stand at a staggering 229 trillion cubic feet of gas and 75 billion barrels of condensate. Located southeast of the Ghawar oilfield, Jafurah is an unconventional gasfield requiring specialized extraction methods. Saudi Arabia is gearing up to develop this vast resource, having awarded contracts worth $10 billion in 2021, with total development spending expected to reach $68 billion over the first decade. Covering 17,000 square kilometers, Jafurah is poised to become a major natural gas producer, with production projected to reach 2 billion cubic feet per day by 2030, up from 200 million cubic feet per day in 2025. This project will also yield valuable by-products essential to various industries. Once operational, Jafurah will solidify Saudi Arabia's position as one of the world's leading natural gas producers. Aramco plans to invest over $100 billion in the project's lifetime, creating more than 200,000 jobs directly and indirectly in Saudi Arabia. #SaudiArabia #JafurahField #EnergySector #NaturalGasProduction #SaudiArabia #gas #oil #company #discovery #energy #Scoophubofficial #Scoophub
