Self care is something incredibly important to day to day life. Hacking HR have reminded us of the importance of self care - and not just when you get to burn out. Self-care can sometimes be the difference between having a good wellbeing day and a bad one, at least for me anyway. Something which I do for self care might not be what is deemed self care to others but it is so important to reflect on your own needs - what is deemed as self care to you. For example - my version of self care is working on my cross stitch as it takes my eyes away from the screen, it means that in the evenings I spend time working on something which I place focus on and take time to unwind - I also tend to get something pretty out of it too! or I might take time to relax by watching my favorite show (that I have probably rewatched 1000 times). A page I read which was useful to understand what is deemed as self care is: https://lnkd.in/eqUEAX4C What do you do for Self-care?

Self care is all about taking intentional actions to prioritize your physical, mental, and emotional well-being. It's about recognizing your own needs and making time for activities that recharge and rejuvenate you. Self-care can take many forms, such as practicing mindfulness, engaging in hobbies you enjoy, getting enough restful sleep, nourishing your body with nutritious food, and setting boundaries to protect your energy. It's important to remember that self-care is not selfish; it's an essential part of maintaining a healthy and balanced life. So go ahead and make self-care a priority, because you deserve it!

We cant pick the the tomatoes before they turn ripe- perfection takes time to HARVEST. Do you plan to plant new seeds this year? Make changes for the better and look back at the harvest growth or allow the rain to wash them all away? #development #jobgrowth #openopportunities

It's easy to give up when the going gets tough. It's even easier to get too comfortable when the going is good. I know because I've been in both situations. My first few rejection emails had me feeling low, making me feel "...maybe I'm not good enough...maybe I'm not even...good." 😔 But I know if I'd given up, I wouldn't have landed my current gig. My current job also would've lulled me into that false comfort where you feel you can just settle and make do with what you've got. My current job allows me to take care of my needs while doing what I enjoy—writing. While it's great (my boss is a great guy!), I feel the need to transition from freelance ghostwriting to growing more professionally with a company whose goals align more with mine. Don't get me wrong. There's nothing wrong with taking a breather occasionally. Sometimes I take a break from applying and just read a couple of good books (I recommend The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. It's an absolute gem 😁♥️) or browse recipes for my next culinary adventure (or disaster) in the kitchen. 🤭 But the point is that success is an unwinding journey, whose point is the personal metric(s) we hit along the way. I believe failure too is a lesson on what to do better next time. Happy Tuesday, y'all. P.S.: If you have laundry that's been in the dryer for a while, stop procrastinating, fold them today! #freelancewriting #remotework #opentowork #contentwriter #WritingIsArt
