Investment in warehousing space is on the rise, with a projected 13-14% increase in major cities by FY 2025. 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞 from Mordor Intelligence. This shows that the Indian Logistics market is on a steady growth trajectory driven by factors such as the increasing demand for e-commerce, rising exports, and Government's Initiatives for Infrastructure development to boost the sector. Here are some of the Initiatives- 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐏𝐢𝐩𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞: This ambitious plan allocates substantial funds for infrastructure development across various sectors, including transportation and logistics. The NIP aims to create world-class infrastructure by 2025. 𝐒𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐚 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭: By developing port infrastructure and coastal connectivity, this initiative is enhancing India's maritime trade capabilities and reducing logistics time. 𝐃𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐬: These high-speed rail corridors for freight transportation are revolutionizing the movement of goods across the country. 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐟𝐭: The government is encouraging a shift from road to rail and inland waterways for freight transportation, reducing logistics costs and improving efficiency. By 2024, India aims to establish 100 new airports, with a mix of government funding and public-private partnerships.
