The Florida CCIM Chapter | West Coast District x Tampa Bay Retail Alliance luncheon provided a plethora of information. Let's break it down: The U.S. retail space market is currently at its tightest fundamental position ever. This is due to a perfect storm of limited new supply and steadily rising demand. In fact, demand formation has been on an upward trajectory for 12 consecutive quarters! Which sectors are driving this surge in demand, you ask? Think discount, food and beverage, off-price, fitness, experiential, and services. These industries are not just thriving but reshaping the retail landscape. But, as with any market, there are challenges ahead. While demand is expected to remain positive, it may slow down in the coming year. Why?
