Over the past 10 years there have been a lot of changes in camping, but one of findings that for me personally is the most encouraging is the engagement among younger people, and more recently the return of Boomers to the outdoors. These profiles change year-to-year, but the one thing that is consistent is the desire to have meaningful outdoor experiences, and to share those experiences with friends and family. #outdoorhospitalityresearch #koaresearch #marketresearch #camperprofiles #camping #outdoorhospitality

My husband and I love tent camping. Here's our trick -- we map out a travel loop, fly to our destination--packing our camping gear in our checked luggage. This means we're packing light, versatile gear and are prepared to tent camp our whole vacation. Once we land, we pick up a rental vehicle so that we can get from campsite to campsite. We stop at a local shop near the campgrounds to pick up groceries and camping supplies that we can't fly with. This has allowed us to cover a lot of space, while maximizing our vacation time. If you're looking to get started with tent camping, here are some helpful tips!
