Words of advice if you are looking to get a job at Deel.
- Go above and beyond with your research and prep before reaching out to someone to connect you.
I mean this in the nicest way possible, sending a note saying "How do you like Deel? Do you think I would be a good fit?" - when I have never worked or interacted with you, isn't screaming "let me vouch for this person". We receive hundreds / thousands of applicants.
Pro tips: Listen to podcasts with our leaders (check out 20VC) and then craft a video stating why your experience, drive, tenacity, and love for what we do makes you want to work here! Include why we should consider you and what big impact and energy you are going to bring to the company. 🎙️

We've been on an Account Executive hiring spree lately.
And honestly, it's about time. I was doing founder-led sales for too long, and there was too much pipeline we couldn't service well.
Having 4 AEs who have time + mental bandwidth to sell (and know how to do it better than me) has been a huge unlock.
So, I thought I'd highlight what I look for when hiring Account Executives:
1) A tactical understanding of how to run a sales process end-to-end (e.g., someone who isn't afraid to run their own demos).
2) Ability to do great discovery and to deeply understand customer use cases and pain points.
4) A really nice to have: past experience selling to our target personas.

If you can’t tell me these 8 things, you’re setting them up for failure:
1: What is your ideal client profile (ICP)?
2: What represents a bad fit client?
3: What is your unique selling proposition?
4: What is the problem you solve for clients?
5: What is the onboarding plan for the first 30 days?
6: What KPIs need to be hit to ensure success?
7: What does a week in the life of their role look like?
8: When / how will you know whether this hire is a win or loss?
Hiring sales reps to solve business problems is a mistake.
It sets them up for failure. Sets you up for frustration.
And ends up wasting time you already don’t have.
Build a proper process and playbook.
